Period 7- Advanced Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, November 7th

We are currently in our 2 on 2 unit. At the beginning of this unit we spent several days working on post moves and focusing on a post-wing game. Based on what you have learned, how is your team's post game during game play? Do you think this is affecting your win/loss record? Why?

i dont think my team really has a post game, we are both not that big or tall to really be effective on the post. if we do post i think it will impact our teams win/loss negatively.

I believe my team's cooperativeness is imporving greatly since we have won our last few games. Me being the big man and having a shooter as Max gives us advantages in the paint but also in the perimeter.

It is good because we make good passes and good plays like the give and go. I think we are winning and losing because we dont make as many shots as we are suppose to and sometimes we dont cooperate as much like we are suppose to.-Shayna Golfer

My team has a good post game. I am usually the post man, so I get a lot of layups. Yes I believe the post game affecs my win loss record because it sets up easy points

Me and Saad don't really use the post move when we play, because I stay out and Saad drives in and that seems to work really well for us because we were the #1 seed starting the tournament.

Based on our post game, I think it effects our win/loss record positively because if one of us is open at the post, then we could either go in for a layup or take an easy shot.

I believe that Karl and I have a good all around game in the post and from the perimeter. Both Karl and I score most of our points from the outside and mid-range jumpshots, but occasionaly, one of us will lob it or bounce pass it into the post and use post moves like faking one way and scoring the other. I dont feel like our post game is a big part of our win/loss record, but I beleive that it is still a solid part.

My team has a good post game. We give good post passes. Since Ethan and I are both big men our points are mostly produced in the post. Due to us being in the post a lot we use the pump fake mostl to gain space.

I believe my teams post game is fundamental to our success, and ultimately determines what games we win and what games we do not.

A lot of times I prefer to go into the post to draw the double team. This frees up Guardian for the three point shot.

If our post game works then our team usually wins.

our team does not do post moves but i think if we did we would have a better chance of winning because he can have the option to shoot or go to the post

We are alright, my partner is really tall making it easy for him to do layups but it is hard for me to get close enough to do a layup usually. It is affecting us because we get a lot of our points from shots up close.

So far, my teams post game during play isn't very effective, because none of us are super tall to execute some effective post moves. It is affecting our win/loss record a little, but it is not a big as a problem because we can shoot the ball from a distance, earning us the points we need.

Our team really does not use the post move, because we feel that we are efficient shooting behind the arch and at the shoulders at the free throw line. I think it would effect us in our wins a loses because the post move is more likely for the ball to go into the basket.

well i am injured but i bet if i was on a team we would have a stunner post game. we would make even the tallest people look small and bank hoops like nothing happened. overall yeah it would affect my win loss record in the sense that because of our brand new style of offense are points would steadily increase or even double. these projections clearly show that more that we score the closer we are to victory.

Since the beginning of the 2 on 2 series, my team has greatly utilized the post game as Serban get alot of rebounds and put-backs.

I think that the post move greatly improved my teams skill level. We have won against team that were ranked higher than ours but we pull out the win because of the post move to the layup.

me and my partner both are not the type of players who likes to post up so it had no effects in our games.

I don't think me or my partner have a legitimate post game that we can use to win games. We are mainly outside shooters who drive in and dish it out to each other for open jumpers. I think this has deeply impacted our win/loss record as other teams have begun to catch onto our style of play and can easily defend us.
