Period 5 Basketball

Due Date: Thursday, October 13th

We are currently in our 2 on 2 unit. At the beginning of this unit we spent several days working on post moves and focusing on a post-wing game. Based on what you have learned, how is your team's post game during game play? Do you think this is affecting your win/loss record? Why?

well the wootton jv team doesn't really have post players. the whole team is basiclly gaurds. i think it is affecting our record in a negative way because we have to rely on our shots and driving. but at times isn't such a bad thing

Of course, it is very affect on our game.
i think basketball is not just physical stamina fight. when we playing, we think about every single our moves and deceive our enemy. if i deceive enemy, i will get a point.so if i know lot of move, the percentage of get score going higher. we should practice each moves. at least,we experience that.

My teams post game play is good, we use drop steps and up and unders. It is affecting our win loss record by helping us win games.

Our team's post game during game play is okay. We don't use it that much, but we try to when we can get a mismatch for defense or get close enough to the basket. As of now, it has not affected our win/loss record much because we are fast enough to get by the defenders and they do not guard us well enough. But utilizing the post could prove more effective in scoring points and increasing/decreasing the point gap.

Our team is better at shooting basket from far range and far ranged shooting occurs more frequently than short range shoot. Although post game is not affecting our win or loss very much, we are still using much of the techniques when we are near the basket. Near the basket, the post moves are helpful so our team members are great at both near and far range. (Especially Fred)

Our team's post game is terrible because we aren't coordinated. Yes, it is affecting our record because a post game is vey essential in 2 on 2.

our team's post game is bad because we don't use it. Yes it is affecting our record because it's harder to score points so we lose.

Aftert learining the post moves in class, it seems that my team doesnt utilize our postgame enough because we are losing . We lose through lack of moves which lead directly towards the basket and offensive rebounding for misses. We as a team keep taking perimeter shots that which dont fall through. If we go inside the post well score more points to win

We use the post moves about 1-2 times a game. It definently affects our record because we rely heavily on outside shots which sometimes dont fall, so we end up losing.

Yes it does affect our games. We usually don't do post moves but we do occasionally. When we do it, it is effective but we dont have tall people so it is hard at times.

Richard - since my team is made up of me and another guard our post play is not very effective in the game. if we were to try and post up the whole game then our record would probably not be good. we now adapt to our situation and we are more of a shooting team. the most effective play for us is the backdoor cut.

My teams post game during game play is good and it is affecting our win and loss record because people are struggiling to guard it.

My teams post game isn't that great, occasionally we will use it and it gives us an edge over the defenders. Most of my teams points come from far shots, and shots near the post. It is affecting our Win/Loss record because we miss opportunities when we don't use them, which can result in some losses.

My teams post game is okay, but it can improve a little better, work on passes definitely and team communication. But overall it;s fine.

Our teams post game is terrible. We barely ever use post moves but when we do it works out well. Its isn't affecting out record because even though we don't use post moves our team makes good cuts to the basket to get open and score a lot.

My teams post game is not used as frequently as our long range shots. This is not affecting our win/loss ratio in a negative way because we know when we need to take outside shots and when we need to take it down low.

Yes our post game is affecting our win/loss. We are losing because of our lack of coordination. We use the same moves every time and we shoot 3 pointers and miss alot. We need to work on driving, getting open and working together.

my teams post game during play is okay, my team is more of a shooting team. It is affecting are record because when the shots dont fall we lose.

My teams post play isn't great and thats why I think our record is not good. My team is short so we try to shoot alot and not post up. So the other team doesn't have to worry about a inside outside attack and they can close out on us we shoot.

our post play during our games is okay. we do a little bit of it and it generally works. i actually dont think it would help us because we seem to be a good shooting pair so we are better from the outside

My teams Poat game plays are going pretty good, we use the drop step a lot and somtimes it's not so effective but in other case's it works pretty well.

I think that my team's post game could use a lot of work. I think that we are doing okay without a post game but it is definitely something my team needs to work on.

post moves have been great and have really helped our win/lose ratio. Post moves can help you get past a defender and score.
