A jab step crossover is a jab step in which you switch the ball over to your other hand. You use this when defense is guarding you on one side so you can drive to the basket on the other without being blocked.

James Naismith was the creator of basketball. It was invented 1891 at McGill University. The player can only saty in the paint for 3 sec. without guarding anyone. 10 players on the court. 5 from each team. A smart player would get into a triple threat when they get the ball. we learned jab crossover and jab jump shot.

3. 10 players are on the court at one time, 5 on each team.

4. A smart offensive player catches the ball in triple threat, where they can dribble, pass, or shoot.

5. The first move is the jab step jump shot. This is used when you have already jab stepped and drove. The defender expects this again so you can counter this by shooting instead of driving again.
Another move is the drop step. This is used in the low or high post to get by a defender and make a layup. The offender shouder-jabs on one side and drops with the opposite foot towards the basket.

1.Basketball was invented in Springfield, MA in 1891 by James Naismith.

2. They could stand in the paint for 3 seconds

3.Five players from each team may be on the court at one time.

4. you should get into a good post position

5. We worked on making a good triple threat position so that way we can do fakes such as jab steps and shot fakes. A triple threat is the position you get into when you get into a safe position where you can shoot, pass, or dive. Also the jab step is used to fake out or disorient an opponents thought of where you are going this way you can easily get to the basket.

1. Basketball was invented by Dr. James Naismith in the YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts.

2. 3 seconds!

3. 10 players, 5 for each team

4. Triple Threat, allows for many options of play

5. The "Jab Step" is a move where one holds onto the ball while the non-pivot foot jabs forward. Used to create a space between you and the defender (if the defender backs out of defensive stance) so you can drive or shoot.
When a player uses the "Drop Step" move, he/she moves past the front of the defender by stepping toward the rim with the forward leg, while "dropping"(dribbling) the ball once. It allows for passage in front of the defender for a close-up shot.
