3.5 players
4.A Position towards the hoop
5. The jab step-performed when a player holds onto the ball before dribbling while his non-pivot leg performs a routine jabbing. This move is used to try and make the defender commit to the move.
You would use this move to get past a defender for a lay up or jump shot.

The drop step- is a move in which the player posting up takes a back step on the side of a defender behind him.

1. James Naismith invented basketball in Canada.

2. A defensive player can stand in the paint as long as they want.

3. In total, only 10 players are allowed on the court at one time.

4. A smart offensive player goes into the triple threat stance when they catch the ball. From this, they can either shoot, pass, or dribble.

5. One move we worked on in class was the jab step, straight drive. You can use the jab step when you first catch the ball and get into the triple threat position. Another move we worked on in class was the jab step, cross-over drive. This can be used when one of the defender's right/left feet is forward, swing the ball low and cross to the left/right. Then you'd cross your right/left foot over to the left/right. Drive in a straight line, hard off the defender's shoulder.

Jab step and we would use it when the defense is tight. IT will be a fake and if defense falls for it, there will be space to drive.

Jab step into shot. One can use it to create space between shooter and defense in order for the shooter to shoot.
