In class we ran a "post" pattern in which two wide receivers run halfway down the field and then cut to the posts while everyone else runs a shorter distance and cuts in to try and make themselves open. A running back runs the ball, usually after a handoff from the quarter back. The wide receivers catch the ball when it is thrown to them by the quarterback on passing plays.
