I watched Florida at Atlanta. I saw alot of the players score by going near to the hoop and almost dunking it there which can increase your chance of scoring. I also saw alot of the players when they had the ball and if their opponents tried to steal it they would dribble on the opposite side of where the opponent was trying to steal it and was using his hand to block him. Lastly I saw alot of the players running very fast when they had the ball, this is very useful for getting the ball to the opponent's hoop quickly. I found that the game I was watching was very enjoyable, I usually dont watch alot of basketball games, I usually just play the sport but im also finding that watching a basketball game can be just as enjoyable.

I watched the New York Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Lightnings. They did a lot of fast passes across the ice. They would trick the goally into leaning towards one side and then pass to the player on the side that was ready to shoot. They would always hustle whenever they were on the ice. They would try and steal the buck every chance they got.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-Star Game and I saw lots of movement. Everyone was moving to make a pass or moved off the pass to get open. People moved behind the goal. The goalie has more padding then anyone else and takes up most of the goal space. When the puck is close to the goal everyone swarms the goal to either score or hit the puck away. Im surprised the players could see the puck with all their protective gear on.

During the NHL game that I watched, I noticed that the players in possession of the puck used different methods during different situations. When the players did not have any of the opposing team near, or were trying to push as far in as quickly as possible, they tended to use long, sweeping strokes pushing the puck back and forth while moving as fast as they could. However, when a player on the opposing team was in front, or trying to get the puck from them, they used very fast, short strokes that did not cover a lot of distance but was harder to steal the puck from. Also, goalies, when blocking, tended to drop their bodies low so that their pads could block the puck. Players, when not near the activity, tended to glide around in a more relaxed manner with their stick high, at waist level, horizontally. Players also moved around with their stick in front of their body.

I watched a 2009 all stars game. When the players had space, they quickly took action and moved into offensive mode. Also, the players were very violent and so were the fans. Golies almost always threw themselves in front of the puck into order to stop the enemy team from scoring. Defensive player were always consentrated at all times. It was an interesting game.

I watched the NHL 2011 All Star Game on Youtube. .I found that there no boundary in the game. They pass the ball really fast and accurately. And you really need skills to score because the ball and the goal are really small, they are not as large as soccer. They also try to get as close as possible to the goal by passing.

I watched canadiens @ Maple leafs 11/27/07. In the games i saw the goalie(s) staying alert, keeping track of the puck and diveing for the puck to keep it from going into thier goal. The players moved the puck in between thier stick, makeing it harder for the opposeing team to steal. THey also made swift and smooth passes to there teammates or into the goal, which shows good teamwork and collaberation. The other players stayed open and did not all stay only where the puck was or gather around it, spreading out across the ice. I found it exciting to see their collaberation as a team and the effort they put into being open, keeping track of the puck, not staying in only one place or as mentioned before, not only going where the puck was but tying to be where it may be going.

I watched the 2011 NHL all-star game and saw a lot of team work. They passed alot to each other to prevent the opponent from stealing the ball. Also, most shots taken are near the net instead of someone shooting from 10 feet or 15 feet away. The goalie uses his feet and his stick to help prevent the ball from scoring. Lastly, everyone is spread about and no one is crowding around for the puck.

Hi there,

During the NHL game I watched, the players were always alert, getting the ball and passing to each other. They all tried to shoot and the goalies tried blocking. The people guarding the goal can't seem to stop the puck very easily, and hence it goes inside the goal a lot. When the ball gets toward the goal, then lots of people follow and try to either get the ball inside, or keep it out. The players usually get low toward the goal, whilst the goalies get down with their blockers to block the puck from going into the goal. So far,
sometimes youcant see the puck very easily because of
the amount of gear that the players are wearing.

I watched Capitals Panthers game. During the line changes there was no stop in the game. the game they start with a face off and have one whenever there is a foul. The game went into overtime and the first to score wins. There is an enforcer on each team who will check or run into players when they are on the wall. Overall there was a lot of movement.

I watched the 2009 and 2008 NHL all-stars games on YT.

Hockey games are dangerous, because the players are at a risk of being injured. They are very violent, therefore regulations include hockey masks. Ice hockey players also have to keep in mind that they are skating. They have to skate while playing hockey. Finally, everyone has to think about the puck. the sticks have little surface area, and since the puck is so thin, lifting the stick will hamper game play. The puck and stick have to be in contact, a little slip will send it out of control.

I watched the 2009 NHL all star game on youtube. During these minutes i saw that to score the players would use different types of shots. To get alot of power on the shoot they used slap shoots that looked like if it hit someone it hurt alot. Another one is a wrist shot that goes really high and can easily hit someone in the head if they are not carefull. Most of the skaters were really quick on there feet and instead of going exactly were the puck is they moved to where it was going to be.

I watched the Winters Classic New year’s game between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburg
Penguins. The teams uses confusing tactics and specific positioning to take advantage of weak points in the defense. Both teams also took advantage of each players strengths and weaknesses to outplay the
other team. In the End the capitols won 2-1 because of each player doing their job well enough to beat
the other team.

I watched the NBA All-Star 2010 game on youtube and I noticed that there was a lot of passes. I also noticed that they had very good form while shooting and they also got open so that they could get a better pass. When one player made a shot, I noticed that he followed through with his shot and didn't yank his hand away after throwing the ball. Lastly, I noticed they bocked and screened a lot.I really enjoyed watching this game and all the beautiful shots that were made:)

HELLO THERE IT'S ANASTASSIA YALL.

I watched the Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference NHL All-Star game and I saw an arsenal of various things. The goalie would get low every time the puck came around and usually fell over. Some guys raised the hockey sticks up in the air when their team scored. Talk about dangerous. Then there was a lot of short, quick passes, especially before shooting into the opposing goal. You wanna make sure you got a good chance of scoring a goal and not just blindly shooting, I suppose. A lot of the players would score on to the far side rather than straight. Because of all of these chaotic passes you have going on, there are players that also fall over. Man a lot of people fall over.

It was more interesting to watch a game than I originally thought, though.

Why do I feel like this is the worst-detailed post ever. Why.

I watched the Saturday, March 5th 2011 game of the Buffalo Sabres vs. the Philadelphia Flyers. A few concepts I noticed in the game that we discussed in class is that every player on each team had the same type of hockey stick with the same legal stick bend, and each player generally did not lift the stick over their knees (even if making a long shot at the goal) and each player kept the hockey stick in front of themselves. Another concept is that there were five people on from each team on the court.
The gameplay looked very advanced and the players shot the puck around the court so fast i could barely keep my eyes on it. I noticed that many players singularly (usually without passing the puck unless they are attacked by the opposing team member) traveled with the puck, and when they got towards the goal the opposing team gathered at the goal to protect it and the hitting team members concentrated towards the same goal to help shoot the puck in and to score a goal. The whole thing looked like a mad scramble of people with heavy gear and sticks, and it surprised me how they could still manage to either get the puck away or into the goal. To me, it was a quite intense viewing. One time the announcer said "oh, i don't know where the puck is.." which ironically made me laugh, considering what i wrote earlier.

I watched the 2011 NHL All-Star Game. The players did a lot of passing back and forth very quickly. It was so fast that the goalies couldn't keep up and many of them scored. There was a lot of teamwork and both teams made many goals. They would steal the puck from the other team and then pass it to another player to score. I was surprised how accurately they could pass the puck to each other without the other team catching it.

I watched Sharks vs. Red Wings. I noticed that the players moved their sticks back and forth quickly when the had possession of the puck so that it would be harder for the the opposing team to get it. I saw that the goalie would drop to his knees so that the the puck would hit off of his pads instead of going in. when their is no one to pass to the players bounce the puck off of the wall to either pass it back to themselves or another player. I also saw that players were trying to get as open as possible when their team had the puck so that they could get a pass. they never missed an opportunity to shoot the puck. I felt that the hockey game was very fast moving and had a lot of action.

I watched a Dallas vs. Edmonton on youtube. I saw constant movement and passing. They were very aggressive with the puck and used checks a lot. They would try to use speed to quickly evade defending players and would often go behind the goal to try and loose a defender.

So i watched an NHL game of Buffalo Sabres v. Red Wings and io saw a lot of teamwork. They wouldn't get to score unless they passed the puck. Nobody was hogging the puck. They were agile and fast whenever they had the puck and always tried to hustle it back whenever the other team had it. And i noticed that at most times the defenders would try and cover up the goalie when the other team got the puck closer.

i watched a caps penguins game on youtube. Ovechkin would always dangle the defenders and then either shoot or pass to an open player. That player would then either fake out the goalie and shoot or the defenders would steal the puck. They would have line changes every few minutes or seconds. i was surprised how well they handled the puck

The Game i watched was the 2009 all-star game. It was a very high scoring game which ended in a shootout win for the east all-stars. The players passed the puck constantly and kept their distance from each other, in order to spread out the defenders. The score was very unusual as at the end of the 3rd period it was tied at 11 to 11. The game was very fast paced and only stopped for fouls and after scores.

I watched the Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference from Montreal 1/25/09. In the game I noticed that the players move at a very fast pace, and they shift the position of their hockey stick in relation to the puck repeatedly to confuse the other team. One of the things that we talked about was high sticking which none of the players did because they would, obviously, get penalized because of it. A lot of team work is used during the game in order to make a shot. The players pass to each other frequently and efficiently to score a goal instead of hogging the puck to themselves in an attempt to score. Something I did not know about hockey that I observed was that the players are allowed to skate around the back of the goal and come back out the other side to score. All in all, the game was very competitive and the teams used many different techniques and skills.

What I noticed when I watched one of the NSL games was they were aware as to were the puck was and was either going after it, or defending. They didn't just stay still and do nothing, they were playing the whole game. Some of them also had some struggle following the puck because the players were hitting it with full force. All of the players also had kept both hands on the handle instead of just one and hitting it. They all worked as a team, and did a great job in both attacking and defending.

I saw Atlanta at Carolina. Alot of the players had their hockey sticks against the opponent when they had the puck to keep the opponent from taking it. I also saw many of the scoring happening very close to the goal insuring an easy score. I very close passing so that the opponent cant intercept and take the puck away. I found that watching this game was alot of fun.

I watched the Capitals and Lightning Game. Though it was fast pace, there wasn't much scoring which I didn't like very much. It ended in a shootout, and the Caps ended up winning. It looked very rough out there. I liked how there was alot of passing and teamwork involved on both teams.
