Period 3 Advanced Basketball

1. It is important to anticipate the pass because if you do not, you can get hit with the ball or your defender can steal the ball.
2.Use the forearm wall to bump the defender.
3.To seal the man to create space for the pass to get to you.
4.If you do not, the defenders surrounding you can strip the ball from you.
5.Make sure you go get the ball, otherwise the defender can steal it.

1. If you don't anticipate the pass you won't know when you will be able to get the ball and seal your man.

1. You must anticipate the pass so you can be able to get into position while "sealing" your defender off.

2. You should make contact with your opponent using the "forearm wall" which is basically holding your forearm out to allow yourself to get in position on your defenfer.

3. Pivot to Inhibit means pivoting into your opponent and also using the forearm wall to establish a good post position.

4.Its important to chin the ball so other defenders cant try to come and swipe at it. It also shows that if you "throw the bow" the ref probably wont call it if you"re already in the chinned ball position.

5. It means to give up your established post position to get the ball.

1. It is important to anticipate the pass so that you can position yourself on your defender in order not only seal him off, but also receive the ball easier.

2. You should make contact with the forearm wall, have your forearm steady and non-extended.

3. Pivoting and using your body to prevent the defender from stealing the ball.

5. It means that you must not sit back and the the ball come to you, you must go and get the ball yourself.
