Greenbay was the first team to win the superbowl. The line of scrimmage is an imaginary line, parallel to the goal lines, on which the ball rests after each plays. On either side of the line, the two teams line up. An out pattern is when the running backs run about 5 yards and then make a sharp turn out and the running backs run about 10 yards and then make a sharp turn right. A high school football kick-off starts at the 40 yard line if there are no penalties.

1.The Green Bay Packers won against the Kansas City Chiefs,on January 15, 1967 with the score of 35-10
2."The offensive team must have a minimum of 4 players (5 in Co-ed) set the line of scrimmage at the snap. Players in motion do not count as players on the line of scrimmage. Once the center has placed his hands on the ball no offensive player may enter the neutral zone. Following the ready for play whistle and until a legal snap, no defensive player may encroach, touch the ball, stand in, or in any other way interfere with the offensive team."
3. The Button Hook is a pattern where every player attempting to receive the ball runs forward, then hooks around and comes back towards the QB.
3b."A running back (RB) is the position of a player on who usually lines up in the offensive backfield. The primary roles of a running back are to receive handoffs from the quarterback for a rushing play, to catch passes from out of the backfield, and to block. A wide receiver is an offensive position, and is the key player in most of the passing plays. Only players in the backfield or the ends on the line are eligible to catch a forward pass. The two players who begin play at the ends of the offensive line are eligible receivers, as are all players in the backfield. Since these two receivers begin play as the offensive players nearest the sidelines, they are referred to as "wide" receivers."

Football terminology and rules quiz.

1. The Green Bay Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl I in Jan 1967, the first Super Bowl in the NFL.

2. What is the line of scrimmage?

The line of scrimmage is an imaginary transverse line on which a team cannot cross until the next play has begun. Its location is on the spot where the ball was when the last play was downed. It can be decreased(moved back) by any penalty yards. For football there are 2 lines of scrimmage(for defense and offense) which are called the neutral zone. For offense, only the snapper can be in the neutral zone.

3. Name and explain a pass pattern
we ran in class. What does the running backs and wide receivers do?

The Out Pattern is a play where a wide-receiver take five steps forward, takes sharp 45 degree turn and continue running. In this play the running back should protect the Quarterback from defense or they can run out and catch the ball like the wide-receiver.

4. Assuming there are no penalties, which yard line does a kickoff start from in high school?

The 40-yard line in American high school football.

5. (True or False)In flag football, a fumble, or a ball that is dropped to the ground, is ruled a dead ball and not able to be advanced.

True,
Any ball fumbled during a down will be a dead ball by rule once it has touched the ground but an interception or an incomplete lateral by any player inbounds can be advanced. But once the ball touches the ground its ruled as a dead ball.
