The drop step which is when you lean one way and draw the defender and then seal them off with the other foot; also, there is the up and under where you pump-fake up then pivit under the defenders arm and shoot; these moves are effective when you are down low on the block going 1 on 1 against the defender.

One move is a drop- step to the baseline. You can do this by stating outside the paint and above the block and then shoulder faking, doing a drop step then finish. This should be used when the defender is not cuttung off the baseline. Another move is a fade away. Start out of the paint and above the block, use a shoulder fake then shoot a fade away.

There is the drop step to the baseline and the up and under move. The drop step is used on a man to man defense and this is when the player fakes toward the lane, spins and does a lay up. The up and under move is used when the defender is jumping to block the ball. This move is when the player fakes a shot then does a lay up around the defender.

You can do the drop step. Shoulder fake inside and then drop your foot to the baseline and turn to lay it up. You can also do an up and under move. Shoulder fake to the outside, pivot inside and fake, then pivot back outside and pass your defender with a power dribble and finish.

Drop step to the baseline- first you stand outside and above the block then when you get the ball you fake to the outside then step past the defender and do a two handed dribble and then take a lay-up. This is most effective when the defender goes for the fake.

Up and Under- first you stand outside and above the block then when you get the ball you fake to the inside then fake a shot on the outside, then two handed dribble past the defender and then take a lay-up. This is effective when the defender jumps for the fake shot.

The first move is the drop step, you start above the block, shoulder fake, then do a two handed dribble to the baseline and take the layup. The other move is the up and under. For the up and under, you pump fake a shot, then when your defender jumps, you go under them and shoot the layup.

Drop Step: Stand outside the lane and above the block. Receive the pass and shoulder fake to the middle. Step towards the middle with a two-handed power dribble and lay the ball in the hoop.

Up and Under: Stand outside the lane and above the block. Receive the pass and shoulder fake to the baseline. Pivot towards the middle, fake up, power dribble to the basket and lay the ball in the hoop.

Two post moves that can effectively used when in the post one on one with a defender are the drop step to the baseline and the up and under. The drop step is done right above the block by faking to the inside then dropping your foot to the baseline, finishing off with a layup. The up and under is done by shoulder faking to the inside then faking to the outside then use a power dribble to the inside.

The "Drop Step" is a very effective post move in basketball, which involves the player standing outside or above the block and faking one way which will draw the defender, then the player will seal them off with the other foot and then going in for the layup or taking a shot. The other type of effective post move in basketball is the one called the "Up and Under", where the player fakes then pivits under the defender and then the player will try to take the shot.

paul kang said: one move is called drop-step. it could start from the ouside the paint and to above the block and shoulder faking and when these a open spot, take a big tribble and take it to the hoop. Also there's the pump-fake up. pump fake-up is when the offense fakes to shoot to pass by the defender to take a lay up or other choices.

drop step by a shoulder fake and dropping with the opposite foot to seal off the defender and going for a lay up.
up and under. turn around, pump fake, seal off opponent and go for a lay up
most affecting when one on one near the block post

drop step is when you fake one way then drop your foot the other to the baseline getting a shot up

up and under is when you fake the opponent out by pumpfaking and go around them for a bucket
these moves are effective when your back is too the basket and a defender is on you

Drop step - Start in the paint, do a shoulder fake, drop your dominant pivot foot toward the basket and shoot a layup.

Up and Under - Fake a fadeaway like shot to get the defender in the air then pivot toward the hoop and go "under" the defender for a layup

The drop step is when you fake to one side, and then spins over and finishes. Another is the up and under move. This is when you pump fake and then move under and finish. Both are very effective to use during a one-on-one situation.

I left this same exact blog yesterday

The first move is the drop step where you fake on way draw the defender then use you body and your leg to seal them off to go for a layup

Another move is the up and under where you do a pump fake go under the defenders arm and up for the easy layup.

These moves are not effective unless you have a big man just give me the ball and take 3 points instead of 2

One move you could use is the up and under, where you receive the pass outside of the block and go 1-on-1 with a defender. You then shoulder fake towards the baseline, pivot towards the middle and pump-fake, and dribble around the defender once he jumps for a lay-up. Another move is the drop step, where you receive the ball outside of the block and shoulder fake towards the middle, then step around the defender along the baseline for a lay-up. These are both effective moves when you have to back down a defender from outside of the block.

First there's the drop step where you shoulder fake inside and then drop your foot to the baseline. You should then have a good position for a layup with the defender on your side so you can turn to lay it up. Second, there's the up and under move. Start by doing a shoulder fake to the outside, then pivoting inside with a ball fake. After, pivot back outside and get by your defender with a hard dribble and a solid finish.

=drop step and up and under move . The drop step move involves shoulder faking then advancing through spinning into the baseline and making the lay up.
The u and under move is used when the defender is jumping to block the ball. The one in the offensive fakes the shot and make the power dribble to mak a lay up...

There is the drop step. Fake inside and then put your foot to the baseline and lay up. You can also do the up and under move. Fake to the outside, pivot inside and fake, then pivot back outside and power dribble with two hands to pass your defender and lay it in.

Up and under is when you shoulder fake and face up the defender then fake a shot and two hand dribble and drive to the basket. The drop step is when you shoulder fake in one direction and pivot in the other then drive past the defender to the basket. Both are used in the low post when going 1 one 1 against a defender.

The two moves are the drop step and the up and under. The drop step is where you back fake one way and use your leg to seal of the defender for an easy lay-up. The up and under is where you back fake towards the hoop, pump-fake to get the defender in the air and use your leg to seal off for an easy layup. Both of these moves are effective when you find yourself on the low block or when you're being guarded by a smaller defender.

You can use the up and over move. When using this move you fake to the middle of the basket then power dribble to attack the side of the basket. You can use the drop step also. When doing the drop step, you do a shoulder fake to make the defender go one way then power dribble attacking the opposite side.
