One post move is the "Drop Step." You get at post and recieve a pass, then you make a fake step behind your defender. Then you make a two handed dribble and spin to shoot. This move is effective to get an easy layup.

Another post move is "Up And Under." At post you recieve a pass, then you make a fake shot. Then you step-through and hopefully get a unguarded shot. This move is effective to get the defense to react and then take adventage of it.

Drop step - give your opponent a fake towards driving towards to middle lane then extend your inside (baseline leg) and pivot around him for an easy lay up.

Up and Under- Fake the shot to get your defender in the air and then duck under him and make the easy shot.

These post moves are most effective when your defender is smaller, shorter than you. By using the drop step, you have faked him out with an easy lay up. With the up and under move, you can also get a very easy shot attempt. If the defender is taller, these moves can still work, but they are harder to use, since fakes may still result in your shots getting blocked.

We can use the drop step which is when you have the defender on your back and you take which ever leg is nearest the basket and wrap around your defenders leg. You can also use the hop step which is when again you have the defender on your back and you hop away from the basket just to get enough separation and take either a hook shot or jumpshot

There is the up and under which is effective on a taller opponent which you fake to go up wit h the ball and then go under the defender for a shot.

Also there is the drop step which you fake to go by the defender and then you get enough room to get off to get a open layup.

One is the "drop step" While in the close to the basket you fake out the person guarding you by acting like your taking it to the middle but then you pivot to his inside and take the layup.

Another move is the Up and Under where you are again close to the basket and then you pivot into the middle of the paint and pump fake your opponent and then go up for the easy layup.

you can do the drop step, which is where you step around the defender to make a layup. you can also do the up and under, which is where you make a fake shot which makes the defender jump to block it, and once they are in the air, you move the make a shot while the opponent isn't blocking you.

One post move that you can do is the drop step. You get to the post post and get a pass from your team mate, then you make a fake jab behind your defender. Then you use a two handed dribble and spin around the defender to shoot. This move is effective to get a layup.

Another post move is called the up and under. When you are down low at the post, you recieve a pass then you pump fake to get the defender in the air. Then you step-through the area where the defender jumped and get a high percentage shot. This move is effective to get the defeder off his feet and take a high percentage layup.

-Drop Step- While you are in the post position, you receive a pass, fake a step towards the inside lane, and then turn and drop with your inside leg toward the basket, while taking one dribble and then going up for the layup. It is most effective to do this when you are playing down low and trying to score a quick point.

-Up & Under- To do an 'Up and Under', you get in the post position, receive a pass, turn towards the inside lane and pull up a fake shot to get the defender to jump. Then turn the other way and duck under him to go for the layup. This is also effective when you are looking to score a quick, close-range point.

Kyle Weissenburger,
One post move is the drop step. You fake the opposite direction you want to go and then you take a hard dribble with two hands and go to the inside and finish strong at the basket. You use this move when the opponent is playing you tough on the outside, so you can get an easy layup

Another move is the up and under. You get the ball in the post and then you fake a shot and then you step through under the defender. It is most effective to get the defense to react in a way they probably aren't used to

drop step it allows you to fake the defender and open a shot for yourself or a layup, also the up and under move also fakes the defense by making a fake shot and helping you get an open shot

Up and under. When you are at post and receive a pass, u turn towards the basket make a fake shot and then you step through to make an easy layup. This allows you to make an layup when no one is guarding you.

Drop step. When you are at post and receive a pass, you make a step towards the paint behind the defender then u dribble and pivot the other direction and make an layup. This allows you to make a easy layup.

Another move is the up and under. You use it when you are beating your defender in the post with a jump shot. You fake teh shot than you go the other way to get the easy lay up.

One post move is the up and under. In this move you fake a shot to the inside to hopefully get the defender in the air and then you go to his outside shoulder for an uncontested layup. This is effective when you have a defender that tends to leave the ground on shot fakes. you can get an easy and one with this move if your defender jumps.
Another move is the drop step. in this move you usually start with your back to the basket but then "drop step" or step backwards to face the basket and go around your defender. this is effective when your defender is guarding one side of you, so you can drop the other way and get around him

We learned drop step and up and under. Basically drop step is to to use shoulder fake and spin pass the defender and do an easy lay up. The up and under is to make a fake shot and step to the other side then make easy shot.

-up and under-you also get the ball in the post and then you turn and pump fake and then take a dribble around your defender to the basket

they are both most effective when you are in the post to get an easy layup

Two of the post moves are the Drop Step and the Up and Under. The drop step is done by reciving a pass down low and executing a fake to one side of your defender. Once that is done you dribble to the other side for the easy layup. The other post move is the up and under. In this move you receive the pass and you fake the shot to get the defender in the air. After the defender is in the air you go undeneath and make the easy layup.

up and under- when on the side of the paint you pivot into the middle of the paint and pump fake so your opponent bites (jumps to block) and then go up for the easy layup.

drop step - (personal favorite) fake a step towards the inside lane, turn and drop step into the paint with your inside leg toward the basket, hard two handed dribble, and BANG easy layup.

these moves are effective when backing down a smaller opponent, or for bigger, stronger big men like me who cant shoot threes for their life.

i apologize for the lateness!!!!
