Period 3 - Team Games

Due Date: Wednesday, April 21st

We have just started our flag football unit and have spent the last couple of days going over pass patterns and discussing positions. Please explain how your team would run an out pattern and button hook pattern. Please include the name and positions for the players on your team. For example, tell me who would be your quaterback, center, running back, and wide reciever in each play and why.

THe button hook pattern is when the playeres wold run out and then turn around and move fowad to catch the ball. Mark would be our qb since he is good at thriwing, katherine would be our center since she is good at hiking, daniel would be our running back since he is fast, and keeyon would be our wide reciever since he is good at atching.

IN football, we learned several different pass patterns. When running a button hook pattern, my teammates and I would take a forward, straight run up the field quickly and then curl and turn back to receive the ball. Miles could play the quarterback because he has a good throw, Danny and Keyo could be the wide receivers because they are fast and me and Andrew could be the running backs because we can catch the ball and Danielle could be the center. In an out pattern, my team would make a fast run up the field and then sharply cut outwards to receive the ball. Everyone on our team can play most positions but for example, I could be the center, Andrew could be the quarterback, Dianna and Danielle could be the running backs and Miles and Sam could be the wide receivers.

My team is made up of many people. Just to name a few, me, mark wong, keeyon choi, and 2 daniels. Big daniel would be our center because hes great at snapping the ball and blocking for the QB. Keeyon would be our QB because he is great at throwning. Mark wong and small daniel would be our wide recievers because they are quick and both have great hands. I would be the running back because im very fast and good at running with the ball.

In our flag football team "We put the ball in football" Tiffany is normally our center, while me and francisco are wide recievers, and tammy and aaron are running backs, kyle is normally QB. In the button hook, both the RB's and WR's run straight ahead and turn in to recieve the pass from the QB. In the out pattern, the WR's and RB's run forward and then out toward the out of bounds lines. These are both used to create space and be more open to recieve the ball.

for a out pattern, we run and go away from the QB

Miles is QB
Andrew and Daniel are widerecievers
I'm center
and Amanda, Kio, Diana and the rest are running back

for a button hook pattern, we run then stop then come back a little

Andrew is QB
Miles and Daniel are widerecievers
I'm center
and Amanda, Kio, Diana and the rest are running back

Jason Choi- While playing flag football, team awsoome would have their line up being Daniel Patraza being Qb because he has a good arm, Katherine or Zoryan being center because they are injured, myself being running back and the rest of the team being receivers. While running an out pattern the recivers would run straight for several yards than start to break off to the sides of the field. While running a button hook the recievers would run down the field and quickly turn around running back towards the line of scrimage.

To run a buttonhook pattern, my team (The Green machines) would run downfield, stop, turn, and run back towards the line of scrimmage waiting for the pass. To run an out pattern our team would run straight and then turn sharply out. Our quarterback would be Andrew for both patterns because he's strong and can throw the ball very well. Our center for both patterns would be Sam because he can hike the ball well. Our running backs for both patterns would be Amanda and I. Our wide receiver for both patterns would be Miles because he is very fast and can catch up to the ball. Plus, he can catch the ball very well.

Travis would be our quarterback because he is good at passing, I would be center, because I own at center, Michael Dwyer would be running back because he is really good at running, and Sam would be wide reciever because he can catch. On an out pattern, Sam would run up the field and then cut to the outside, and on a button hook, he would run up the field and then cut back.

We select the people that can do there best at their positions Like Sam,he is the most athletic.Kevin, he cant catch so he plays center
Im good at catching the ball. Micheal D is fast and strong so he can muscle threw on run plays
are two main plays are the fly pattern were all the receivers go long and the button hook were everyone runs then turns around and stops

For football, my team makes Daniel be Qb because he has a good throw.
Keon is the running back because he is fast and tall and ted and Mark Wong are receivers since he is good at catching. Alex Hahn just..plays for the other team...Me and Zoryan take turns being the center because we can't run.

For the out pattern, the recivers run straight and than towards the sides of the field. For the button hook, the recievers run striaght and then turn around and start running back for a pass.

The button hook pattern is run by the center, Kevin, hiking the ball as in any other play and then the quarterback, Travis, receiving it. Trey, Sam would be wide receivers and Kayli and I running backs. What we do after the ball is hiked is run in a straight, forward line and then quickly cut back to get the ball in a hook-like position. In the out pattern, we would hold the same stances, but instead of hooking back for the ball, we would run straight then make a sharp turn to the outside. Travis is the quarterback because out of everyone, he has the best and most accurate throw. Sam and Trey are wide receivers because they are the best at catching long distance throws. Kayli and I are running backs because we are the only ones left and we fill in those positions.

When QB throw a ball then we go away from QB. - the out pattern
When QB throw a ball,we go forward then a little come to back - the button hook

QB - Francisco
Center - anyone in my team.
Running back - anyone in my team.
Wide reciever - anyone in my team.

Except Francisco, we are changing our positions.

W.r~ Sam he pwns at catching

In an out pattern, my team and i would run straight out and cut out quickly and catch the ball. Kyle could be the quarterback because he is good at throwing. Francisco and Aaron could be the wide recievers because they are good at catching the balls in long distance passes. Me and Mitchell can be running backs to catch the short passes. Tiffany could be the center. In a button hook pattern my teammates and i run forward and quickly curl in to catch the ball. Aaron could be the quarterback because he is also good at throwing. Gus and Fransisco could be the wide recievers because they are both tall and can catch the balls easily. Me and Kyle could be the running backs. Tiffany is the center because shes good at hiking the ball.

In an out pattern we would run forward and sharply cut to the sidelines. In a button hook pattern is where you run down the sideline and sharply cut back to the line of scrimmage.
QB-Andrew, good at throwing
Center-Daniellie, good at hiking
RB-Amanda, good at running
WR-Miles, good at everything
WR-everyone else

One pattern that we would run is a p[ost pattern, where all the players run diagonally inward to catch the ball. for that play francesco and gus would be our wide receivers because they are tall and good at catching. i would be the QB becuase im good at throwing and can run away from the blitz. And tammy and micthell will be the running backs because the are fast and tiffany will be the center becuase she is a consistent hiker.
Another play is the button hook, where ll the players turn around and run towrds the QB to catch the ball. For that play me and Francesco wouold be the wide receivers becuase we can run after the catch. Then tammy would be the QB because she is good at throwing. Mitchell and gus would be the runningbacks and tiffany would be the center.

A button hook pattern is when the recievers and running backs run down the field about 10 yards and turn around to catch the ball. I think I should be a wide reciever, Keeyan would be a reciever too, katerine could hike the ball, Zoryann could block because she cant run, Daniel P. could be quarterback, Daniel can block, and Ted could be running back.

In an out pattern, all recievers and running backs run down the field and run out the the outside. Keeyan and I could be recievers, Daniel and Zoryann could block, Ted can run, and Katerine could be center.

In my team we would have katherine be the center since she can hike good. Mark can throw good so he would be the QB. Daniel P would be the running back since his is very fast and can catch it good. Keeyon can also catch it very well so he would be the wide reciever. In the button hook all players run forward , then face backwards to catch the ball. The out pattern is similar except we would all run out towards the end of the field to catch the ball.

in my team travis would be quarterback because he is good at passing. evan would be good at center so he will be that. diana and i would be running backs because we r good at running and sam and michael d would be our wide receivers because they are good at catching. in a button hook sam and michael would run straight and then curve and run back a bit in the direction of the line of scrimmage and in the out pattern they would run straight and then turn sharply out and run a bit in the direction of the sidelines.

for a button hook pattern,Andrew would be the quarterback because we need Miles as a WR i could play center, and everybody else would just be WR so we would have many pass options. for the other pattern we could all run full speed straight ahead and then cut outward. fast WRs like Miles would be needed to achieve a successful touchdown or first down.

An out pattern is when recievers go out and cut. A button hook is when they go out and come back. Evan is the center. Travis is the qb cause he is a good thrower. I am a reciever cause i can catch. Dwyer is the running back because he can run well. Kevin is another reciever because he can also catch.

When running the button hook pattern. Katherine would be center. I could be QB(or Ted) and Kyo can run and mark can run. Mark is good at catching balls and kyo is fast. Zoryann is also good at catching and running so she can also be a wide reciever.

My team, Michael dwyer is pretty versitale. we have like 4 quarterbacks. for the hook i would be running back, the girl would be center and everyone else would be recievers except for the quarterback. The recievers would just run foward then hook back.
Same postions for the out pattern i would be running back and the recievers would just run straight and fast up the field.

Button hook
Players would run straight then turn and run back in order to catch the ball.
Out Pattern
Players would run straight then sharply turn and run out (away from the center) and catch the ball.
For both pattern I would be center, Kyle would be QB, Francisco, Gus, and Aaron would be the wide recievers and Tammy and Mitchell would be running backs.

Aaron Tian said...

out:
Tiffany would snap the ball to the me, the quarterback. Kyle and Gus, the wide recievers would run out a bit and then sharply cut left or right looking for the pass. Mitchell and Francisco would run the same pattern but begin closer to the middle

Button hook:
Everybody would have the same positions. tiffany would snap to me, kyle and gus would run out and quickly stop and turn 180 degrees and look for the pass. The same for francisco and mitchell who would start closer to the middle.

On the out pattern miles is QB because he can throw the ball far and on target, me, daniel, and kiyo are WR because we can catch and jump. artur is center and amanda and sam are running backs. One the button hook the positions are mainly the same but me and miles switch and artur and amanda switch.

I would play quarterback because i can throw pretty good, Trey, Sam, and Kevin can be wide reciever because they can all catch, Evan can be center and Michael can be running back because some how he can run past anybody. On an out pattern the recievers would run down field and then cut away from the center of the field. On a buttonhook everybody would run five yards down field, stop, and turn around and look for a pass.
