Period 1 Team Games

Due Date: Wednesday, April 21st

We have just started our flag football unit and have spent the last couple of days going over pass patterns and discussing positions. Please explain how your team would run an out pattern and button hook pattern. Please include the name and positions for the players on your team. For example, tell me who would be your quaterback, center, running back, and wide reciever in each play and why.

Callan would be our QB. Danie would be running back and the rest of our team would be receivers for both plays. Callan would be QB since shes the best thrower and Danie would be RB because shes thw fastest. The rest of our team is best at catching which is why we're wide receivers. The button hook is a play where the receivers run about ten yards, stop and turn around to catch the ball. An out pattern is where the receivers run ten yards then turn and run towards the sideline.

In order to run an out pattern, first our center, Guillaume, would snap the ball to me, who would then drop back a few steps, while the wide receivers, Logan, John, Nickalia, and Helen would run forward in a straight line for at least 5-15 feet, and then cut in side towards the middle of the field (at a 90 degree angle). The running backs, David S. and Washiq, positioned on either side of me in the backfield, would run this same route, except they would not run as far as the wide receivers. I would then deliver the ball to the receiver or back who is open. For a button hook, Guillaume would snap the to me, while the wide receivers and backs (same players as before) would run out around 5-15 feet once again (with the running backs running less as they are closer to the quarterback), and then "curl" around and face the quarterback. I would throw the ball, once again to whoever is open. My teammates and I play the positions we play as John, Nickalia, Helen and Logan play wide receiver as they all have very good hands and always know which routes to run. david S. and Washiq play running back as they are faster and quicker then the others, but have slightly worse catching abilities. I play quarterback as I have the best arm on the team, while my catching skills are not very reliable. Guillaume plays center as he can serve as a very effective blocker on run and pass plays, and knows how to snap the ball to the quarterback.

My team would run an out pattern, by running straight then after a distance turn in a 90 degree angle towards the outside of the field. We would run an , button hook pattern we would run straight and then suddenly turn around , quickly 180 degrees and face the qb. And in these plays Matt would be our quarterback due to his good passing form and passing distance, johnathon would be our running back due to his speed, eric would be our snapper since he wont drop the ball, and Ben would be a wide reciever since he can catch very well. This goes for every play.

On a botton hook pattern, the center snaps the ball to the quarterback, who will throw it to the wide receivers, who will run deep and then make a small u-turn backwards. On an out pattern, the center and quarterback have the same role as they did on a botton hook pattern, but this time, the wide receivers run deep towards the sidelines. Arash would be the quarterback on our team, because he has a strong arm. Nina would be the center, because she is an accurate snapper. Danny would be the running back because of his speed and quickness. The rest of us would be the wide receivers because of our ability to run routes, get seperation, and catch the ball.

for an out pattern all of the eligible receivers cut to the outside after a certain amount of steps. for a button-hook the eligible receivers make it see like they are going long and stop short and look for a pass. the people who would be likely to catch the ball would be Austin Hersh(WR/QB) Lindsay Destefano(RB) Kalli Mays(RB) Jason Punk rebel(WR) and Hallie Goldstein (WR) george is our center. he snaps the ball to the quarter back. he is an excellent snapper and that is why he plays center. each of our positions are carefully strategically planned. we precisely studied each team mates strongpoints and weaknesses and placed them where they would most excel. our running backs can juke and run hard. our wide recievers can catch any ball in the air and our quarterback(me) just has an amazing arm and eye for who is open. this, mrs dyer is why we are un-defeated and will remain this way for the rest of the season. thank you

Our center(george) would hike it to the quarterback(Mike or Austin because they have good arms and can throw the ball quickly and accurately) and the wide recievers (hallie and jason *punk rebel* because theyre fast and are good at looking for an open area to recieve the ball) would run down the sidelines looking for an open pass...while Kalli and I or Austin would be running backs starting where the QB recieves the ball, also looking for an open pass. For the out pattern and button hook, all players remain the same in these positions, but an out pattern we all take 15 steps after the QB recieves the ball and take 2 steps towards the sideline to look for an open pass, and for a button hook, we take 15 steps and turn around in a loop motion to look for an open pass.

My team is the Titans. If we were running an out pattern, we would probably have Alex Spiropolous snap the ball, because nobody else on our team is as good as she is with snapping, and Andreas would be quarterback. Everyone else would line up as a receiver and run a few yards downfield and then sprint out.If we needed a runningback, it would most likely be Danie Lyons because she is the best runningback on the team.

to run an out pattern Jonathan would probably be center because he is good at snapping the ball, an Matt would be quarter back because he can throw long accurate passes. Our wide receivers would be Venu and Ben and Rania and I would the running backs. All four of us would run forward then straight out to the edges of the field and Matt would trow it to one of us. To do button hook we would have the same people doing the same things but this time the running backs and wide receivers would run straight then turn aroung and run back a little to catch the ball.

out pattern; You go up the field then take a sharp cut OUT towards the sideline.

qb: danny (he likes to throw)
cntr: javier
run bk: katherine
wr: eric

button hook pattern: A pass route in which the receiver heads downfield, then quickly turns back toward the line of scrimmage.

qb: arash
cntr: javier
run bk: danny
wr: me

Our QB is normally Chris, since he is the most accurate thrower. Our center is normally Carly. Running back is Marlon, and everyone else are recievers for both plays. For an out pattern, Carly would snap the ball to Chris, while all the recievers run out about 10-15 steps. Once they run that distance, the cut outwards at a 90 degree angle, looking for a pass. For a button hook, the recievers again run out 10-15 steps, and then quickly loop around and look towards the QB, who is there ready to throw the football to them.

To run an out pattern, I would be quarter back due since I have the best throwing arm in our team, though not by much. Also I have agility and speed if I was to be blitzed. Eric You would be center since he doesn't have speed and can not catch very well, but most of all because he knows how, and is good at snapping the ball. Alex G., Will B, Sam G., and Anthony Woo would be the wide recievers. Will, Sam, Anthony all have speed, agility, and are good at catching. While Alex isn't the best at catching she has speed. The wide recievers would run down the field about 10ft, and then cut in towards the middle of the field at 90 degrees. The running backs would be Rachni and Daniel N.Both Rachni and Daniel arent very good at speed or catching, yet they are good for back-ups. And Daniel is good at defence, so if the was an interception, he would be able to stop them before they were able to score. For a button hook pattern, all players would have the same positions. The wide recievers would run out about 10 ft and curl back to face me, while the running backs would do the same thing only they would curl back at an earlier time.

We run up the field and the our qb throw to somebody of our team.
Danny is our qb,I am the cntr,Felipe is our run bk and Eric is our wr.

To run an out patten, our wide receivers would run close to 10 yards then cut towards the sidelines. For a button hook, the wide receivers would fake going deep, then curl the route back towards the QB for the pass. I would be quarterback because I can throw. Ben, Vinu, and Eric could be wideouts, while Alice could be running back. Jonathan could be center because he knows how to snap.

To run an effective play, Guillaume would play center, and snap the ball to David Sherman. The rest of the team, me included, who run a post. David would have multiple people to choose from and we have people who can catch and ran. We would then do another pass play because that is our strong suit.

Danny would be our QB, Felipe and Javier our wide recievers pertinent to both plays. Then both WR run out and then turn to catch the ball for a hook. For a out pattern they would go near the sideline and turn out to catch the ball.

In the button hook pattern, Byron would be the qb, and the center, Lea, would snap the ball. Gwen would be the running back and the rest of the team would be wide receivers. The wide receivers would run a couple of yards, than stop and turn around to make the catch. The out pattern would have the same positions, but instead of turning around, we would run and than cut to the outside.

For the run out pattern Ben would be our QB and Matt, Venu and me would be RB due to our speed and ability to catch the ball. Eric would be at center due to the fact that he wont drop it. In a button hook i would switch ben with mat because mat usualy goes to far and fast which would cause him to slip as he turns around. I would do the same so i would be center and eric would be a reciever.

To run an out pattern the running backs and the wide recievers would run in a straight line for ten-fifteen yards and the make a sharp turn towards the sidelines. A button hook pattern is when the running back and the wide recievers run in a straight line for 10-15 yards and then curl in to face the qb for a pass. Our quarterback would be David Levine because he can throw the best, our runningbacks would be either me or david sherman because we are the fastest, Guilliaume would be the center because he is the only one who can play that position correctly, and John, Nickalia, Helen and Logan would be wide receivers because they can catch well and know how to run the routes well.

Sorry Mrs Dyer I thought I had already done this blog but i gueess not because i have a 0 out of 10. A button hook pattern is when the recievers Arash, Felipe, Dariush, Javier or Eric run about 15 yards then turn in about 2 steps back to the QB me then I throw the ball to them. An out pattern we would have the same positions with katherine at center and nina running back but the recievers run about ten yaards then 2 yards to the outside to recieve the pass.
