Period 5- Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, June 3rd

It has been a great semester in all of my classes.

For your final blog I want to know how I can be a better teacher. Please answer the following questions for your final blog.
1. What did you like most about the class?
2. What did you like least about the class?
3. How did you like the use of the blog in class?
4. What would you change to make your experience in physical education better?
5. Will you take a physical education class again?

Your response will have no implications for your final grade other than if you fail to do it, so please be honest as your responses help form what we do in the future. It has been a pleasure working with each of you this past semester. Stop in and say hi when your travels bring you by the gym.

1. The thing I liked most about the class was free Friday.
2. The thing I liked least about the class was 5 on 5 because I had the ball less then in the 3 on 3 and the 2 on 2 units.
3. I like the blog. The blog is a good way of integrating homework into PE class
4. I would have more specialized sport classes instead of the general classes like net games and team games.
5. Yes, I will be taking weight training next year

1. I liked how on Fridays we were able to play games which we chose to and play with people we wanted to.
2. I disliked how the teacher came in very late everyday and that we were unable to start playing until 10-15 minutes in the game.
3. I like blogs because they're quick and easy to do. They also help teach the players the basics on basketball
4. I would change that instead of a warm-up, we go straight into the games.
5. I would take physical education class again.

1) I liked the structure of the class due to the amount freedom
2) I least liked the amount of blogs, if there were less blogs, for example every two weeks, this would make the class more enjoyable
3) Like I mentioned in the previous question, I would like to see a blog every two weeks
4) I would honestly not change any part of the class
5) I will not be taking a P.E. class in the near future but i would take one if I could

1. I liked 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 the most because you got to play a lot by yourself and not have to worry about a teammate messing up. That was how I got to the finals in 1 on 1 and won the finals in 2 on 2.
2. I didn't like how we had to do the warm-ups with the whole team
3. It was easy to use
4. I would like have changing clothes mandatory
5. I would like to take another PE class in my following years at Wootton

1. I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 on 3 unit of class, it allowed to learn how to play with others.

2. I didn't like 5 on 5 because many people just wanted to ball hog and not allow other players on the team to play or even get the ball.

3. I liked the use of the blog because it allowed us to see a different point of view other than the traditional basketball class.

4. I would add rules when telling students to do the warm-up such as a bad grade if they do not participate or not do it correctly. I would also set a limit on how one teammate can play on a team before subbing out for another player. Overall, I would keep the class more disciplined.

5. Yes, definitely it helped me to relax and escape from the regular school day and also helped improve my skills as both an individual and team player.

3) The blogs were mostly helpful while not taking up too much time.
4) Shortening or changing warm-ups could make the class better.

1.What I liked most about the class was that I was able to play basketball as one of my classes. In the class, I liked Free Friday, and the leagues.

2.What I didn't like was that during a season, if your team wasn't playing, you didn't have anything to do because all the baskets would be taken by teams playing for the league.

3.I like the use of the blog in class, because it gives us homework points.

4.During a season, I would only have games for the league being played on the side basket, and have the two main baskets open for 3 on 3 for the players whose teams aren't playing.

5.Yes. I would take a P.E. class again.
