Period 1 - Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, June 3rd

It has been a great semester in all of my classes.

For your final blog I want to know how I can be a better teacher. Please answer the following questions for your final blog.
1. What did you like most about the class?
2. What did you like least about the class?
3. How did you like the use of the blog in class?
4. What would you change to make your experience in physical education better?
5. Will you take a physical education class again?

Your response will have no implications for your final grade other than if you fail to do it, so please be honest as your responses help form what we do in the future. It has been a pleasure working with each of you this past semester. Stop in and say hi when your travels bring you by the gym.

1.) What I liked most was just being able to always play basketball, even if I was busy after school, because I could always play in your class.
2.) What I liked least was the level of competition. In period 1, people were either very good (varsity players or close to that, which was sometimes fun), or many other people just weren't good at all. Our class didn't really have a middle ground.
3.) Personally, I didn't really like the blog. Most of the subjects, I already understood. Also, if I forget to do one, it negatively affects my grade.
4.) To make my own experience better, I'd try to play harder and not be as lazy.
5.) I will, either basketball again or weight lifting.

1. I enjoyed having the opportunity to play basketball in school every day. It was good for me because I can take my mind off of academics and play a sport I love.

2. The class feels like it goes by really quick, since we only have time for two games every day.

3. I think the blogs were good, because we can learn more about certain things in basketball, which can help us in class.

4. There isn't really anything I would change, since it's my favorite class of the day.

5. Yes, there is no question. I will take P.E. every year.

1. What I liked most was being able to compete against my classmates in a competitive yet casual atmosphere.
2. The thing that I liked least about the class is that I have it in the morning so often times I am still tired when trying to play.
3. I did not like the blogs very much because they are unreliable and sometimes when I have done them they have not submitted. They were not used in class that much I don't think.
4. I would change to make my gym class later in the day.
5. Yes

1. Playing basketball, my favorite sport for a period everyday
2. Getting points taken off for not changing
3. It isn't something that isn't too much of a problem, but sometimes I forget to do it, and that brings down my grade so I don't think it should exist
4. Nothing really, my experience in PE is already the way I want it to be
5. YES

1. I guess I enjoyed gameplay, especially in the 2 on 2 unit. Free Fridays were fun too; this was the only class that made me feel like it was a real Friday, rather than just another day of work with a load of homework to do over the weekend. Oh, and this being my first period class, really helps wake me up. It always changes me from half-awake to fully awake with my heart pumping and brain going.
2. Not much to say here; other than perhaps the class being geared more towards the more advanced players and not more beginner-like players such as me. It's not a big deal; just something worth noting. I don't suppose many people would approve of this, so maybe just an occasional walkthrough for the one or two beginners in the class would be fine.
3. I enjoyed having the blog to keep my grade up. It also helped me to learn a bit more about the rules of basketball as well as what is currently going on in terms of things like the NCAA or NBA.
4. Maybe it would just be the beginner thing I said earlier. Very enjoyable class.
5. Physical Education is not my number one priority, but if I have room, I will definitely consider something like basketball class with Mrs. Dyer again.

1.)My favorite part was that we were able to play against each other in teams as well as individuals. I also like having gym as a first period class because it wakes you up and gets you going for the rest of the day
2.)The class was pretty great overall. There isn't really anything I can think of to say here
3.)I didn't hate the blog but I didn't like it either. But I guess I disliked it a little because I forgot to do it all the time
4.) Nothing
5.)maybe
