My team is the heat and we are good in transition. We should play man to man against all teams because we are a lot faster than all the other teams and can beat them with fast breaks but if we at back in a zone we would not get a many fast breaks

Our defensive strategy can help us because it helps us find the best way to defend a teams strengths and reveal their offensive weaknesses

VS the:
Celtics: we should play 3 -2 zone because they shoot well from outside and we can cover 3s well

Thunder: We should play 3 -2 zone because they shoot well from outside and we have good perimeter defenders

Clippers-We should play man because we have good defenders that can match up with their players

Heat:We should play 2-3 zone because they have taller inside players and not much outside shooting, so we can get more support inside

Lakers:Man, we match up well with each of their players

We play zone and a 2-3. We have marks and yung sung up front and asher, kia and I down below. That way teams we play like thunder and bulls like to drive the ball so were stacked down in the paint area. So they'd have to shoot and shooting outside the perimeter is difficult than a layup. -Cornelius Waiman

Our team should play a strong defense and work hard to run back as fast as possible to stop cherry pickers and fast breaks. my team has a bad defense and that is something we need to work on but a good offense.

From what I have learned from basketball this semester, I have learned that you get ahead of another team's score when you can steal their ball, have really good rebound or make a 2 (3) pointer shots. This is when defensive play comes in to play. Defensive play is critical in order to efficiently hold possession of the ball so you can make more basket than the other team. For Celtics and Bulls which usually go for the ball with fast drive, we tend to play man to man so a defender can continuously keep watch of the person who is trying to drive. For teams like Lakers who have great shooters (like Richard and Albert) we will play defense based on position so that we can block a shooter whichever place he might attempt a shot. For Thunders and Heats whose defense and offense is well balanced, we play man to man defense so we can quickly change from defense to offense and vice versa. However, we tend to prefer man to man because of its flexibility to change from defense to offense because our team is good at both and is a hustle team with great speed.

Our defensive strategy can make our team better by putting 2 people in the box and 3 on the outside. By doing so, we allow less space for other teams to try to go for layups and to attempt more perimeter shots. As a result, if they miss their shots, we can get more rebounds, develop a good transition offense, and ultimately score.

My team, the Lakers, has a 2-3 defensive srategy. The strategy is to generate more defensive rebounds in the post. Teams such as the Clippers, Celtics and Bulls have players that can penetrate, so we close the gaps with our two top defenders, and rebound missed shots. But for the Celtics and the Thunder, we spread our two defenders outside to block perimeter shots

Our team (the clippers) often plays a box and 1 zone defense which can collapse inside and force our opponent to take shots from perimeter, and put enough pressure on the ball handler coming up the floor. It also sets us up for getting the defensive rebounds so we can take away second chance points. We can play this zone against almost all teams like the bulls, the heat, the lakers and the celtics, but when it comes to the thunder, we may switch back to a man to man D just to make sure they don't get too many open jumpers.

I think that if my team playes Zones more we would heve easier time winning and forcing turnovers but my teamates need to work together and communicate more for our defense and offense to work. When we play the clippers I think that we should play 3-2 zones more because they have great shooters and playing this type of defense will make it harder to get open shots.

Being strong defensively, we are able to generate turnovers that will lead to fast breaks for us.

Against the celtics, we should play a 3-2 because they are good shooting, against the lakers, we should play a 2-1-2 because they are well balanced all around, Against the heat, we should play a 2-3 because they have a great outside game, against the thunder, we should play a 3-2 because they shoot well from the outside, and against the clippers, we should play a box and 1 and stick the man on alex

My team is the lakers. We are good on zone because we are good at sliding and shifting in order to cover the shot. When we play all teams we should just play a zone so like I said before we could shift and block shots. -Caleb Zweig

Our team should play 2-3 zone vs all because most other teams have a player that no one can guard. Our team also has enough big players to make a zone defense work out well.

Our defense strategy is mostly man to man defense because that's what we are best at. When we play the Clippers we should play a tight man to man defense because Alex is a good outside shooter, so someone needs to put a hand in his face, and Kwame's good at that. When we play the Bull we should play a zone because they dont have as many strong outside shooters, but they like to drive a lot, so Chris, Jordy and Kwame should play down low to stop them from scoring. When we play the celtics we should play a man to man defense because they have people on there team who like to shoot farther out, and our team (heat) can pressure well. When we play the lakers we should play a zone because there team likes to drive mostly and we have tall players on our team to block them. Lastly, when we play the thunder we should play man to man because they have more guards on there team than posts, so our team should put a hand in there face before they shoot, which we can do very well.

my team is the bulls and we are good on the break. we like to play man because we have talent and endurance and not as much strength, also the other teams are decent at shooting so we dont want to let them get good looks.

my team is the bulls and for the most part we should play man because we have good team speed. But when we play marks' team we should play a 3-2 to prevent open looks from 3

My team (lakers) should play a 2-3 zone and keep the offense out of the paint .I should be on the box , micheal should be in the middle and richard and chris should be on the top . We should just switch everytime and see who is best in that position

My team is the Heat and our defensive strategy can help make our team successful during this unit because we have relatively fast players that can force turnovers and run down the court quickly. Against the Bulls, we should play zone defense so it is harder for James to drive to the basket and also because their outside shooters are not that good. Against the Celtics, we should play a man defense to prevent Xavier from shooting 3-pointers and also because the rest of their team isn't good at handling the ball so it's easier to get steals. Against the Lakers we should play a man defense so that we can prevent Richard Hum from shooting or driving. Against the Clippers we should play man defense so Alex doesn't have as many opportunities to shoot 3-pointers.

My team is the heat and our defensive strategy can help make our team successful because our players are relatively fast and can get down the court easily on fast breaks. Against the Bulls we should play a zone defense to prevent James from driving and also because their outside shooters are not that good. Against the Celtics we should play man defense as to prevent Xavier from shooting 3's and also because their team doesn't have good handling so it's easier to get steals. Against the Lakers we should play man defense to prevent Richard Hum from shooting or driving. Against the Clippers we should play man defense to prevent Alex from shooting open 3's.

My team is the lakers, and we should always play man against teams that can shoot so we don't give them open shots. We should play a two-three against teams who don't shoot as well so we can pressure them up top but still get the rebounds in the paint.

my team (clippers) usually plays either a one defense or a 2-3. for most of the teams, it allows us to stop them from driving the ball and putting pressure in the paint. this way they have more trouble making shots because thy need to take them on the perimeter.

Our team should play a stronger defense and work harder to run back as fast as we can to stop cherry pickers and fast breaks. My team has a bad defense and we all need to work on that. We have a good offense. And Some are ball hoggers and need to work on passing the ball to other people on the team more!. We also need to work on subing.

My team is the lakers and our specialty is transition offene. We have alot of fast guards who can get out on the wings for outlets. The defense we are good at is man. We do better matching up with other teams star players.

to know what defense to play we must know thier strengths
1.clippers- we should play man because they have a really good outside shot but dont really drice
2.heat- we should play 2 3 zone because they have some really tall players so i will give us the advantage under the bascket
3.lakers- we should play man because their not taller than us and none of them have a really good outside shot
4.celtics- we should play 3 2 zone because they have a good outside shot
5.thunder- we should play a 3 2 zone because they have some good ouside shooters

Defensive strategy is important because we need to protect all areas of the court. Without strategy, the others teams would score on us without any trouble at all. So, we need to play different defense against different teams. Most teams we should play box-1 because most teams have one really good players and a bunch of role players. For example, against the Clippers this would work because the one could guard Alex, and the rest can collapse on the rebound if he misses. This works for almost every team except for the Thunder. Against them, we need to play man-to-man. This is necessary because they have so many good jump shooters that with a zone one of them might break through it and get the easy jumper.

My team is the Thunder. The best defense to use is 3-2 because most teams shoot a lot of three pointers and don't drive much and this is the best defense for that. I would use this for all teams.

vs the bulls we should play a 2-3 zone because they are good at penetraiting, vs the thunder we should play a 3-2 because they have good perimeter shooters, vs the clippers we should play a 2-1-2 because we can trap them and force turnovers, vs the heat we should play man because we have good matchups for everyone, and vs the lakers we should play a 2-3 zone because they can penetrait

My team is the thunder.
For the most part we play man because each team has good shooters. Bulls r good at driving so we play 3-2. Heat are bad at shooting so we also play 2-3. Celtics arent that great so we stay man to man. Clippers are good overall and we play tight d. Lakers dont try too hard so we just play 2-3. Our team is quick so we can do man to man. However we hav small ppl so rebounding and protecting the basket from deives is difficult.

My team is the heat and our defensive strategy is very important. Against the Bulls we should play a zone defense to prevent any hardd drive. Against the Celtics we should play man and also because their team doesn't have good handling so it's easier to get turn overs. Against the Lakers we should play man defense because their drives are not that great so we dont have to close up to tight. Against the Clippers we should play man defense because they are not that fast compared to us.

my team is the clippers and we are a good halfcourt team. we should play man defense because we can get good pressure on the ball and force turnovers and get fast break points but we are also capable at zone because we also can rotate the ball.

My team is the heat and we play man to man because we like playing transition offense. my team perfers man because then no one will start slacking on defense.

my team, the celteics should play a 2-3 because our 1 and 2 are fast and can guard the perimeter and we need to rebound better so we should definitly play a 2-3
