Period 6 Team Games
Due Date: Wednesday, May 16th
We are in the process of getting comfortable with our teams and making plays. We are trying to avoid the "just go out" situation that most P.E. football games deterioate into. How can we avoid this? Post you comments

We can avoid this by talking before a play and showing the receivers where and how far to run out. Also, before the game we could talk as a team and tell people the general area of where they should go most of the time
Jack Dai We can avoid the "just go out" situation by making more complex plays and assigning teammates roles based on their skills. We need to work together as a team in order to succeed.
In oreder to keep the football games serious and not a lazy just get out and play, people have to keep up a sense of competition like ther finals for a winner. the competition drives people to work harder to win, and not just play.\
We can avoid this if before each play we huddle up and say what each player should do also we will make more plays when the game is closer. -Stephen Tonelson
Jason Hall To avoid this, we could provide an incentive to create plays, perhaps something like extra points for actual points or even just giving us time to make plays. Jason Hall
We can avoid the "just go out for a pass" situation by having the Quarterback hand-off to a running-back or by going for a short pass to a person and then doing a lateral to another person. Instead of recklessly having everyone go out for a pass we can have people fake a hand-off and throw to an open person. There are many plays in offense as well as defense in football instead of the "just go out for a pass" play.
We can avoid a "do whatever you want" play situation by having a team huddle before plays to coordinate who's running which route and who is most likely to get the pass on a certain play.
We can do this by either writing a playbook or huddling before a play to design an impromptu play. We can also avoid a bit of chaos by assigning permanent positions so there's no discrepancy there.

we as a team can avoid this by setting up a basic offense for the whole team in which players know what direction they have to go but still have thfe freedom to do whatever they want so they can get around the defender when needed.
We can avoid this situation by telling the receivers how far out and where to go. We can also avoid this by creating different types of plays, such as trick plays and running plays.
We as teams should come up actual plays whether it involves 1 or more players. We also need actual plays like pass then fake lateral but then lateral to the other person. As being on Andrew's team, he always make plays so it gives us a better chance of winning. there should always be a plan B.
We can avoid the situation by spending the first five minutes of class to huddle and put together plays. They don't need to be complicated, but just need to express some organization so that every player does not run deep on every play while on offense. We can set matchups as well so people feel responsibility during the game.
We can avoid the "just go out" by actually huddling up every play and deciding what to run. If players just huddle and decided what to do a team can accomplish a lot more.
Josh Lasday Usually in gym football people just run around hoping to get open. To avoid this the team can go into a quick huddle before each play and discuss what routes the receivers should run.
Tiffany Zhang We avoid "just go out" by assigning specific roles to our teammates so everyone knows wh.at they should be doing. Also by coming up with trick plays and strategics with specific codes each teammate will know where they should be positioned when the ball is hiked, to best complete a pass or running play

We can avoid this by communicating with the team before the play starts what routes we will run.

we could avoid this by planning ahead of time before a game and also think of more creative/trickier plays
We can talk plays over beforehand and practice certain "trick" plays or special plays to use before playing
