The ball handler has to dribble in the paint and look for the 2 people cutting on the outside and pass the ball to one or take it in himself. The 2 people should be looking for a lay up or a jump shot

The one defender has to stop the ball and the back defender has to stop the back 2 people and pick one person.

The offense must be able to see the open floor and push the ball in transition, which creates the opportunity for fast breaks and 3 on 2 situations. The defense must locate the offensive players and then be able to jump the ball and recover to the open man to stop the fast break.

In order to do this drill completly, offensively you must be able to pass the ball effectively, filling the lanes correctly and take inside shots..

Defensively you must be able to roatate men and constantly move since you are constantly on a 3-2 run..... you have to be able to rebound and outlet as well as fill the passing lanes to limit oppurtunities.

Two things that the offense has to do is pass the ball to the outlets and find an open shot inside the paint area.
Two things the defense has to do is rebound the ball and defend the paint.

the offense has to make the D open up the backside so the ball can quickly get underneath for a layup. than the defense has to push out on the ball handlers grab the rebound and run dat floor silly. not only does the O have to rip the court by passing they have to bank the balls from outside than walk away like nothing happened!

In the drill, the offense must be able to spread the floor and attack the middle to get good shots, they also must be able to move the ball quickly to keep the defense off balance.

The defense needs to see every member of the offense so nobody can cut behind them, they must also pressure the ball to stop the offense from getting easy shots.

In the 11 man drill, the point guard has to facilitate the offense, making intelligent, accurate passes to first man and move around to open area in the defense after he has passed the ball. Every other offensive player must also do this until there is an open man under the basket for a layup.
The defense has to work together and communicate to close out the open areas and prevent scoring in the paint.

On offense, the person starting should throw the outlet pass and spread the floor and get open. Also, the offense should look for shots in the paint.

On defense, the goal should be to get a stop. Two things the defense could do is put pressure on the ball handler to try and force a turnover or play perimeter defense and force the offense to take a long range shot, which would not be as high a percentage as one in the paint.

The offense has to be in a way that they can weave the ball and maneuver the ball quickly to make the open lay up and the defense is set up to drop in an I formation to block the three guys coming in a zone

The offense has to successfully move the ball fast up the court. Also, the offense needs to have great spacing.

Defensively, you need to stay on the tip of your toes to be able to jump to the ball quickly. Also, you need to protect the house.
