Patrick Lin. Maintaining possession throughout the game was important for that way we could score easier and faster leading us to be successful. Another invasion game that could use this tactic could be football. keeping the ball and not fumbling would give the team a huge advantage. No need for defense. First one up :)

Josh Lee-In ultimate frisbee, maintaing possesion is important if you are on offence because itmoves you forward toward the goal line to score. When your playing defence, it is important to defend the goal line because it prevents the opponents from scoring. another sport that involves these tactics is football..i thinks.

Maintaining possession is important because it makes easier to catch and score in the game. Defending the goal is also important because it keeps other team to get a score, which is getting more chance to win in the game. Another invasion game would be football, which is very important to have maintained possession for easy catch, and defending the goal to aviod other team to be scored.

Maintaining posession is important because it's easier to score when you have the frisbee. Also, defending the goal line makes it harder for the other team to score. Another invasion game is football.

Ashwin Raghavachari - In ultimate Frisbee maintaining possession throughout the game is important because it allows your team to score. defending the goal line is also important because it keeps the other team from scoring. These tactics give a team a greater chance to win. Another invasion game where these tactics are important is football because not losing the ball and eventually getting a touchdown gives your team a greater chance to win along with keeping the other team form scoring by defending the goal line.

The concepts of maintaining possession and defending the goal line are important because to have control of the ball, then you can get touchdowns, pass it, or intercept it. another example of an invasion game is football

Kristen Van Neste - Maintaining possession of the frisbee was important for the offensive team. It allowed the team to stay in control of the game, and made it possible to score. Defending the goal line is also a very important concept. It allows the defensive team to stop the opposing team from scoring. Another invasion game that uses these tactics is football. The team who has possesion of the football has the advantage.

Eric Li: In ultimate frisbee maintaining possession is important because it gives the team that has possession the chance to score. Similarly defending the goal line is important because it helps to stop the other team from scoring which could cost the game.Another invasion game that uses these concepts is basketball.

It is important to maintain possession of the frisbee, not only to go on offense and score points for your team, but to limit the other teams chances of getting the frisbee and scoring points. Defending the goal line is also important, because if you don't the other team scores points. Another game that includes these same concepts is our current unit, flag football. Maintain possession of the football to score touchdowns, and defend the goal line to stop them from making touchdowns.

Andrew Craig:
Keeping possesion is the key to winning ultimate frisbee and without the frisbee you are not able to score another sport that this is valuable is basketball in which limiting turnovers is often the key to winning.

These concepts are important because if you do no have possesion you will not be able to score. you will only be playing with half the effort, "half the deck" as some people say. If you maintain possession it helps to make it easier to score and to win.

Another posestion game(i think) could be soccer because both teams have a side to defend. And the other team would try to score. Yuo ghave to play defense and offense in this game.

Elgin Martin:

The concepts of maintaining possession and defending the goal line are important for my team to be successful because by maintaining possession of the frisby my team is keeping it away from the other team and preventing them from scoring as well as giving my team the opportunity to score. By defending the goal line my team is keeping the other team from scoring. Another invasion game where those concepts would be applicable is football. In football you must defend the scoring area and try to keep possession of the ball in order to score and win.

Ammaar Yousufi-Maintaining possesion of the frisbee is very importtant because without a good position you couldn't have a good offence and defense is very immortant so you can stay in the lead and block other people from scoring. This game is related to football because the QB has to maintain the ball and throw it and it is basically the same defensive plays as frisbee

in ultimate Frisbee maintaining possession of the ball is important on offense because it will be easier to score. Defending is also important so no one can score on your team. another type of game is football. when your team has control of the ball you can get it all the way down the field.

Aaron Krotman- Maintaining the possession of the frisbee is very important because it gives your team a chance to score instead of turning it over. Defending the goal line is also important because in order to win you have to try to not let the other team score. Football also uses those two tactics because you want to keep possession of the football instead of turning it over.

PALINA IVANOVA-

Maintaining possession is very important because when you are on offense that is how you score. Ultimate Frisbee is consisted with mostly possession and if you lose possession then you will most likely lose the game overall.

Another invasion game where maintaining possession is important is football because in football as well as Frisbee you have got to keep the ball in your hands or in your teams' hands and if you give the ball up then it gives the other team the chance to score.

By the way Mrs. Dyer my ankle is perfectly fine for tomorrow but there is another problem now. I just came back from soccer and i wasn't playing but i played as a goalie for a little and when i did as i dived to get the ball it like swerved so my arm landed on the ball and went up so it hurts to move it when i run or throw for now but after tonight i will see how it feels tomorrow hopefully better! My coach said it could be a strain, i have no idea what that it is but he said it isn't that bad. I'll see you tomorrow!!

Maintaining possession is an important concept because if your team doesn't have possession you can't score. Defending the goal line is important because if you don't stop the other team from scoring it would be a lot easier for them to win. Another invasion game is football because it is important to maintain possession to score and defend the goal line to keep the other team from scoring.

maintaining possession is an important part of ultimate frisbee because when you have possession you can make your way down flied and try to get a goal. Another important part of ultimate frisbee is defending the goal line, which makes your team successful because if you defend the goal line you can try and prevent the other time from getting an goal. Another invasion game is football because the team who has possession has an advanced and get can a touch down also you can try and get an interception and stop them from getting a touch down

James Hurst: maintaining possesion is important because if you have possestion you can score and keep your team in the lead. defending the goal line is important because it stops the other team from scoring, also keeping you in the lead. another invasion game is football.

In Frisbee maintain possession is the most important thing because it allows you to pass and score. On defense it is important to cover someone in order to intercept or knock the Frisbee down. another invasion game could be soccer.

Maintaining possession throughout the game was important because giving up the frisbee means giving up a chance to score. And if your team does this a lot, it gives the other team a lot of chances of scoring points. You must also protect the goal line because it makes the other team work harder in order to get a goal. Another invasion game that would use this would be football because it gives your team more chance to score and hopefully, you can then beat out the other team.

Maintaining possession helped score touchdowns faster and stopping the opponent from scoring. Defending the goal line is what you have to do to keep your opponent from scoring on you. Another invasion game would be football.

Krishang Sharma: Maintaining possession throughout the game is a key aspect when attempting to win. With it, the other team is pressured and you are able to move across the field with more leadership and passion. Another invasion game that would use this same tactict is basketball because when trying to score, you must also keep the ball from the reach of the defender. For example, in basketball, you set up in a triple threat position keeping the ball from the defenders reach.

If we have the posession of the frisbe we have a chance to score. If we can defend the goal line we can prevent the other team from scoring. Both these strategies help win the game.
Another game that uses similar strategy is soccer.

In ultimate frisbee, maintaining possession is important in games because you can score and prevent the defense from getting the frisbee back. Defending the goal line is important because that way the offense will not score and you can get the frisbee back. Another invasion game where these concepts would be applicable, is football. Possession of the football can let the team score and defending the goal line will prevent the other team from scoring a touchdown.

Alice Gindin, maintaining possession of the frisbee is important because if the other team intercepts it you can't score, in addition the other team after gaining possession can score. Another example is soccer, the point is to make sure your team keeps hold of the ball and can get the ball past the goalie into the goal.

Brandon Fink - Maintaining possession in ultimate frisbee is important to being successful because without possession of the frisbee, it is nearly impossible to score. Defending the goal line is important because it helps in preventing the opposing team from scoring. Another invasion game where these concepts would be applicable would be soccer because by maintaining possession, you increase the likeliness of scoring and by defending the goal line or your half of the field, you prevent the opposing team from scoring.

these things are important because if you keep control you also limit the other teams possession and don't allow them to score a lot. also guarding the goal line also prevents scoring. another game could be football where you try to penetrate the offensive blocking at take one of the flags. in this game you can also protect the goal line- Josh Weintraub

its always good to maintain possesion because you can score and the other team has no chance of scoring without posession. Defending the goal line is important because that way the other team cant score. Football is similar to this because you want to maintain possesion and defend the goal

Keeping possession was important so you could work your way to the goal line to score. And on defense it is important to prevent the other team from scoring and you do this by defending the goal line. Another invasion game is football cause you need to pass and work your way up the field and stay focused on defense.

Maintaining possession is important so that the team can keep getting closer to score and defending the goal line is imprtant because it helps prevent the other team from scoring. Just like in FOOTBALL!!!!!

Mathew Saunders. When maintaining possesion of the frisbee it gives your team a chance to score as well as keeping the frisbee away from the other team and not letting them score.Defending the goal line is also very important as a saying goes the best offense is a good defense and so if you can stop the other team from scoring you will at least tie. Well the same concepts apply for football maintaining possesion keeps the ball away from the other team and allows you to score, also defending the goal line stops the other team from getting too many points.

Stavros Tzamaras: possession of the ball allows you to score the ball, and when you dont have the ball defence is what you need to play, you need to intercept the ball or stop them from crossing the 1st down line. these concepts also tak place in hockey, and most other sports involving 2 teams.

Hope this is better!

Maintaining possesion allows you to make points and keep the other team from earning points. Another game which this applies is Lacross, because you need to pass the ball to the goal without the other team stealing it.
