During this semester, we have worked on several topics relating to improving
basketball skills.
1. Fundamental skills, and Movement Skills

1-on-1 Basketball- Attacking and Defending the Basket
3. 2-on-2 Basketball- Post Moves and Defense
4. 3 on 3- Basketball- Setting Screens, Reading the Defense, and creating space
Please explain how each of
these topics relate to 5-on-5 basketball play
(offensively/defensively).
How successful do you feel with each of these
topics?

1. Fundamental skills and movement skills help a player bring the ball up to the court, sucessfully.
2.Attacking and defending the basket is important because the player need to get point and prevent the other team from scoring at the same time.
3.Post moved and defense help the player get open quickly and defend others who are doing the post moves.
4.This helps get space between your and the opponent so that the player can get the ball. The screen can help block the defense and make your teamate free at the same time.
All of this aspects are important in 5-on-5 because they are the foundation of a good game.

1. Fundamental skills, and Movement Skills
Fundamental skills allow your team to move around the court and move the ball around.
2. 1-on-1 Basketball- Attacking and Defending the Basket
Being good 1-on-1 allows your team to play solid man defense.
3. 2-on-2 Basketball- Post Moves and Defense
Post moves allow you to get open in the post, and post defense allows you to steal the ball and play a solid zone.
4. 3 on 3- Basketball- Setting Screens, Reading the Defense, and creating space
By being able to read the defense your team can cut and get open more easily. By reading the defense you can also create more space.
How successful do you feel with each of these topics?
I think my team is good at Fundamental skills, and Movement Skills and 1-on-1 Basketball- Attacking and Defending the Basket. My team is not good at 3 on 3- Basketball- Setting Screens, Reading the Defense, and creating space.

1. All of these topics relate to 5 on 5 because these are all skills that can be used in 5 on 5. Also most of them relate to gettingopen and moving around.

1.Fundamental and movement skills are important in playing efficiently on offense and defense.
2.1 on 1 helped in creating offense by yourself and individual defense.
3.2 on 2 makes players pass the ball and work on pick and rolls.
4.3 on 3 requires the team to get open, cut to the basket, set picks and give help defense if needed.Three on three is the most important in teaching how to use teamwork efficiently.
I think I did better when there are more people to pass because you can maake plays and if you get stuck you always have someone to pass to.

2. 1-on-1 Basketball- Attacking and Defending the Basket
Being skilled in 1-on-1 helps you carry your weight on your 5-on-5 team.
3. 2-on-2 Basketball- Post Moves and Defense
The post moves we learned in class will help my team get easy layups. Defense is a fundamental part of slowing down the other team and preventing them from scoring.
4. 3 on 3- Basketball- Setting Screens, Reading the Defense, and creating space
Reading the defense allows your team to get easy scoring opportunities, cut to the basket and get open more easily. By reading the defense your team can also find the open space. Setting screens will create a breakdown in the other teams defense and open space will be created.
How successful do you feel with each of these topics?
Personally I feel I have become efficient in each of these topics. Also I know understand that all of the aspects including fundamental skills, movement skills, attacking the basket, defending the basket, post moves, defense, setting screens, reading the defense, and creating defense come together to create a dangerous and versatile player.

All of these topics help to make a successful 5 on 5 basketball team.
1) offense: because it helps bring up the ball without a turnover
defense: you need to have good movement so you can stop the person from shooting or to steal the ball
2) offense: it helps scoring points
defense: it helps the other team from scoring
3) offense: to get open quickly
defense: to stop the other team from trying to do post moves
4) offense: by setting screens you get your teammate open to shoot and creating space allows the person with the ball to have room
defense: reading the defense gets you to steal the ball and score

I think we are good at everything except 3 on 3 but we are fine with everything else.

1. Fundamental skills and movement skills allow a player to preform the simple but important tasks. For example, dribbling the ball and passing to a teammate.
2. 1-on-1 attacking allows a player to score or create opportunities for others to score. defending allows a player to play good defense on one to prevent the other team scoring.
3. 2-on-2 post moves allow a player to get an easy basket when there is a mismatch. defense allows the other team to score less in the post.
4. setting screens allows teammates to become open, which makes it easier for them to score. reading the defense can help the team to set up plays in order to score. creating space also gives easy chance to score.
I feel my team is really solid on these skills. We have players who possess theses skills

1. Fundamental skills and Movement skills allow you to be successful in moving the ball around, and then scoring.
2. 1-on-1 teaches you how to beat a single person when your teammates are guarded.
3. 2-on-2 teaches you how to score inside
4. 3-on-3 teaches you more how to work as a team, using screens and plays, both of which help a team score and play defense.

1) Fundamental and movement skills allow players to bring the ball to correct area.
2) Players know how to attack the basket without any passes. It prevents the other team from scoring.
3) Post moves gives a greater chance for scoring. Defense stops the other team from getting close to the basket.
4) Setting screens and creating space gives teammate a better chance to shoot. Reading the defense gets you to a better position.
My team is successful on most of these topics

2. Atacking and defending the basket give you better chances of makeing a score, and preventing the other team from scoring.
3. Post moves can throw off the other team on both offense or defense.
4.All of the 3 on 3 skills help with communication. A team is not a team if you do not communicate with each other.
I believe my teams have been successful on all of the topics except for communicatipon. We would be able to score more if we talked to each other while playing.

1. Fundementals and movement skills help you as a player to shoot and dribble which any basketball player should be able to do.
2. Attacking and defending is important because in a real game you would need to preform both of those tasks to be succesful.
3. Post moves and defense help the player be able to make themselves big and get an easy shot under the basket.
4. Setting screens is a really big factor in creating space because once you set a screen one of your players then becomes open while youcreate more room for the other players move around.
All of these are important in a 5-5 game because you need to have the basic skills to succed in a 5-5 game.

1. These skills allow players to move around and get open for the player to easily get up the court
2. one on one allows players to play good defense, and attack hard
3. two on two allows support for players and an extra man to get open
4. three n three allows a teammate to set picks, and run plays, to score
I think i am pretty good with all these skills but i like playing 2,3,4, or 5 on that number because i like working with others and am not good by myself

2) 1 on 1 helps with playing tight man on man defense as well as creating space to get a good shot
3) Post moves help with getting the ball down low to get an easy shot under the basket
4) Screens and cuts help people get open and teach players how to spread the court, and reading the defense allows for open players and easy layups
I feel pretty comfortable with all of these topics and all of these topics teach necessary skills to play well.

1. Fundamental skills allow the players to successfully navigate around the court proficiently.
2. Attacking and defending the basket are necessities because the team needs to score, but prevent the other team from scoring as well.
3. Post moves and defense help the offense score when in the post and prevent the opposing team from scoring in the post.
4. By reading the defense the team can move to find open areas.
I feel that my team can proficiently display all of these topics on the court.

2. 1 on 1 can be helpful when theres a mismatch.
3. Bigger players like my teammate Alex B. can post up other players.
4. Screens can unbalance the defense and finding the open teammate is important.
I dont feel successful with our offense because we dont move the ball or set picks.

3. post moves are needed for 5-on-5 if you are a post player and to get offensive and defensive rebounds for the team
