the skills and movement allow the player to learn how to move on the court and skills are the basis of 5 on 5 play. The 1 on 1 allows the player to learn how to beat there man and play defense on isolations. 2 on 2 allows for teamwork and allows is starting to build up for team play. I feel like i am pretty successful at these skills. Me and Jeff should be allowed to be together for 2 on 2

The 2 on 2 games can help you with your fast break game. Knowing when to pass and when to shoot or score a lay-up. The 1 on 1 games can help with your hamdling skills and controlling the tempo of the game. As for the other drills they simply make you a better player through your footwork and hip movemont.

1) Everyone needs fundemental skills such as passing while playing 5 on 5 because everyone will have to pass in 5 on 5.
2) Players need to be able to win 1 on 1 matchups with the ball on offense and play tough 1 on 1 defense.
3) With 2 on 2 players need to use their teamates to help score on offense and play help defense in a 5 on 5 game
I feel very successful with all this topics

1. A person needs movement to get up and down the court during a 5 on 5 five game, and needs to know how to dribble and pass to keep the ball.

2. A person must be able to guard there man, such as in a one on one setting, for a defense to work in a 5 on 5 game.

3. A person must understand passing and cutting in a 2 on 2 game for it to work in 5 on 5. A person must understand how to use the help defense in 2 on 2, for 5 on 5.

By playing one on one and two on two you can learn the basic fundamentals with out getting into a full out 5-5 game. On offense you can learn basic techniques like pick and roll's and give and go's. Obviously playing 1-1 and 2-2 gives you a chance to practice your shooting, passing, and dribbling. On defense it helps your one on one defense. I feel very successful in all different aspects.

I feel like my skills are pretty good, especially in shooting. I could work on my defense a little bit. My one on one offense is pretty solid also. In two on two my team mate and I could put in a little bit more effort on defense.

Fundamental and movement skills like dribbling exercises helps us drive to the basket by using moves like crossover and between the legs. Movement skills like the cone touching helps us change directions faster to defend opponents. 1 on 1 helps us drive to the basket to help others get open in 5 on 5 so they have an open shot. 2 on 2 helps us exploit unfavorable matchups for the opponents to get easy scores. I feel that I am successful mostly on defense for 1 on 1 on defending moves because I have quick reactions and will be able to move with the player. I feel that I am successful both offensively and defensively on 2 on 2 because my partner creates double teams so I am open to score points. I am able to defend any opponent most of the time because I am quick to adjust to picks.

During this semester, we have worked on several topics relating to improving basketball skills.

Fundamental skills, and Movement Skills relates to 5-on-5 basketball because in order to be a good offensive and defensive player you need the basic skills. 1-on-1 Basketball relates to 5-on-5basketball because in games you sometimes need to go against your man and score. Also you need to defend your man tightly just like in one on one. 2-on-2 Basketball relates to 5-on-5 basketball because you need to work together as a team in order to have success just like in 5-on-5. You need to pass the ball to each other and call for help on defense. I feel very successful with each of these topics.

3. 2-on-2 Basketball

To wok as a team just like a 5 on 5 game.

How successful do you feel with each of these topics?

shooting has improved and so did ball handling. Ballhandling needs more improvement but shooting is ok. Got better in each topic

fundamental skills and movement skills help your control of the ball on offensive and coordination on defense. 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 help you practice pick up and one on one defense. They also help your score in a man to man senario and help you learn how to move the ball around as a team in 2 on 2

Fundamental and movement skills are very helpful in understanding the game and learning good form in real games. 1 on 1 is important in learning how to drive to the basket. 2 on 2 is helped us learn how to be a good teamate. I feel very succesful in these topics.

willie- Fundmamental and movement skills help you have better control over the ball and better movement on the court on offense and defense. In a 1 on 1 game you have to do everything by yourself so that helps you practice that. 2 on 2 helps you practice with a temate by passing and setting picks

the skills we learned so far have helped us to move effectively on the court, which are basic skills you need during 5 on 5 play. Also 1 on 1 develops skills that let you get passed someone which is needed for 5 on 5. 2 on 2 has taught us to communicate and to work with your teammates which is needed in 5 on 5

Fundamental and movement skills like dribbling exercises helps us move down the court quickly and without getting the ball stolen. Movement skills helps us change directions very fast so we can defend opponents and drive past them. 1 on 1 helps us score by either driving or getting space for an open shot without any help from picks or teammates. In 5 on 5 we will be able to drive the lane and either score or pass it out to open teammates. 2 on 2 helps us passing and getting open without the ball. In 5 on 5 these skills are very important to winning and playing well. I think im succesful in most of these skills but i could play better defense.

1)everyone needs basic skills such as passing and dribbling.. these two fundamentals are the key to executing plays and scoring baskets.
2)the one on one games help you because they help u become an offensive threat in certain situations in a real 5 on 5 games and they make you become a better defensive threat.
3)The 2 on 2 games can help you with your fast break game and knowing which tempo favors you and your partners game. Knowing when to pass and when to shoot or score a lay-up

Learning and mastering fundamental skills such as shooting, passing, dribbling, boxing out, and finding positions is the first step to successfully participating in 5-on-5 play. The defensive slide is another fundamental skill that is very important. A player who has good movement skills can kepp up with the speed level of the opposing player and avoid fouling said player at the same time. Fundamental skills and movement skills are the backbone of the game of basketball. However, being a technically-sound player is only half of what is required to be a good player in real game situations. This is why 2-on-2 and 1-on-1 situations are great settings in which to practice your fundamental skills. 1-on-1 play gives you an opportunity to hone your shooting and dribbling skills. You can also practice offensive moves that can be used to score in 5-on-5 situationd. 2-on-2 play helps you become better at communicating with your teamates, which will lead to setting pick and role plays, backdoors, no look passes, etc. These skills are essential for successful 5-on-5 play. 2-on-2 play also helps you get used to faster game paces, which you may encounter in 5-on-5 fast break situations. Overall, you acquire better instincts and acumen from small group play.
1-on-1 play and 2-on-2 play helped me develop my fundamental skills and made me more at ease with the offense part of basketball.

1. you need fundamental and movement skills so u can create open driving lanes for 5 on 5, and for defense you can confuse the offense with different sets.
2. You need one on one to take ur man on iso and leans fundamental moves to get by ur man to score. this happens alot in 5on5. you need to know how to strap up ur man with no help.
3.2 on 2 u have help on D and offense, just like in 5on 5, movement really helps so u have clear lanes to drive.

I feel a very good about all of this.

In 1-on-1 basketball you learn how to beat your opponent with your own offensive skills. Defensivly, the player must know how to stay with their man and they dont have to focus on the other opponents. In 2-on-2 the movements are different and there are more players. With defense the player must have a sense of where they are and be able to keep p with there own man. With offense the player must cooperate with there teamate instead of doing everything by themselves. Both 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 baketball skills are needed in 5-on-5 basketball.

Fundamental skills and movement skills relate to 5 on 5 play because they are the basic foundation to gameplay in basketball. 1 on 1 basketball is good for 5 on 5 because it gets a player good at man to man defense and what to do when your going one on one on a breakaway. 2 on 2 gives players the opportunity to use teamwork, relating to the teamwork used in 5 on 5. I feel that i have been succesful with these skills from the drills in gym class.

TAYLOR CRIMMEL-
You have to dribble, or they will call travelling. Keep moving your feet, or you will be standing still. Also, defenders will get by you.

don't ever pick up your dribble. don't repeat the same post moves or you will lose.

move around without the ball. don't shoot unless other guy get the rebound. Or just make the shot. pass a lot. give and go.

you have to not travel in 5 on 5 as well. you have to make shots in 5 on 5 as well. you have to pass the ball in 5 on 5 as well.

i am very very very successful. i win. i beat james.

1) Fundemental skills consist of just moving the ball and being able to dribble and you have to be able to move around in a game to get open for passes. on Defense you have to know to stay in from of the ball and the hoop. I have been successful with this.
2)1-on-1 helps us develop skills to drive to the hoop and make a play by ourself. For defeense it helps us defend against isolation plays.
3)2-on-2 helps develop pick plays and give and go plays.on defesnse it helps us learn what to do on a switch play.
I feel successful with these topics because i have learned from my mistakes.

fundamental and movement skills will help the whole 5 execute what needs to be done on the court effectively. in 1 on 1 the person needs to know how to slide their feet and stay in front of the man on defense and know how to create space and make good moves to the basket on offense. thios helps the team either score or get the ball on defense. in a 2 on 2 situation the person on defense needs to be able to see man and ball in case he needs to help out beat man. and on offense he needs to be able to see the next cut or next pass and screens so that they can score.
