1. Jab step and the V-cut
2. After establishing that he can drive and shoot, Kobe see's that his defender is pushed up for the shot and knows he doesn't want to allow the drive again so as he is driving to the basket he picks up his dribble and pulls up. His defender was expecting him to either pull up before driving or drive all the way to the basket so this throws him off.
3. I am best at the reverse layup because it is easier for me to finish off of a drive rather than a shot or dribble pull up.

By cutting to the ball and by his footwork and jab step
2. Explain one of his signature moves and how he reads the defense in the move.
his outside jumper is 1) triple threat 2) jab step 3) jumper
3. Which move on the video clip do you feel you are best at? Why ?
I think I'm best at at the pump fake pivot because its like a post move and I started in the post and am still transitioning into a guard.

1. Kobe creates space by first pushing into the guy and then pushing out, running into his spot. Another way kobe creates space is shielding his defender off with one arm until the pass comes to him.

2. In the pump-fake pivot, Kobe reads the defense by predicting how the player will guard him. He lands on his control foot to see if the player jumps and clears the path, or if the player is more aggressive and deters kobe from the easy bucket. If kobe finds the defender is out of his way, he has no need for the pivot spin. However, if kobe see's that the defender is still a problem, he will spin to lose him. In the end, kobe has to read if the help defense is coming to help. Either kobe will float a basket, or he will dish it off to a team mate for the easy point.

3. I think I can excel in the reverse lay up because it requires the least amount of coordinated footwork.

1) kobe will vcut and use a jab step, or semi fake jumper.
2)On his drive to the basket, kobe will read past his immediate defender to look for the big down in the post, so that he knows how to attack the rim, after shaking his man, which he knows he will do.
3) I feel best at the drive to the basket because i am comfortable finishing around the rim.

1. He cuts and does a jab step
2. He catches the ball, jabs, and if the defense steps back then he shoots because he has created space by jab stepping and making the defense move back
3. I feel I am best at his jab step jump shot because I often jab step to create space and I love to shoot so if I put those two together I think I would be good at it

Thanks! :)

1) Kobe uses a v-cut and a jab step to create space
2)On the reverse layup, Kobe looks past his defender and pays attention to the help defense. If he sees the big man coming down to the post after he makes his move he tries to draw a foul and create a 3 point opportunity
3)I feel that i am the best at the pull up jumper because I am better at shooting then i am driving to the rim.

2. in his pull up jumper,he catches the ball in triple threat and then does a jab step.finally he penetrates the defense and does a step back move to create space for him to shoot
3. i feel that i'm best at the reverse lay-up because i'm decent at them

1. He uses a jab step and bumps into the defender to create space.
2. Kobe goes into the triple threat position and then he will do a jab step. If the defender backs off of him, then he will rise up for the jump shot.
3.I feel that I am best at the jab step drive because I am comfortable finishing with either hand.

1) In order to create space, Kobe uses the v cut and jab step.

2) Kobe goes to the reverse layup when his defender is playing tight on him. He must get past the initial defender and avoid being blocked by the weak-side defender.

3) I feel that I am best at the pull up jumper because I am a pretty good shooter.

1) Kobe uses the v cut and jab step to create space.

2) After Kobe uses the jab step in the triple threat position, he looks at how the defender and his/her help reacts. If there's no help, he drives to the rim but if there is, he pulls up for the jumper.

3) I feel that I am best at the jab step because sometimes I like to pull up or drive so I can keep the defender guessing.

1. V cut and jab step

2. He goes into triple threat position and then does a jab step. If the defender steps back he has a open jump shot

3. jab step drive because I am bigger than most kids

1. V cut and jab step
2. Triple threat then he sees how the defender reacts. He then either pulls up or drives to the basket.
3. I like to shoot so after a jab step I can pull up for a jump shot.
