1.It is important to anticipate the pass so that you can seal the post and then the defender won't get the ball.
2.You should make contact with a forearm wall but don't hit the defender let the defender hit your arm. Also your arm should be sturdy.
3.Pivot to inhibit means to use footwork and your body to seal the defender and keep them from moving.
4.It is important to chin the ball in the post because defenders will try to knock it out of your hands so you should keep your elbows at a 40 degree angle.

1) It is important because if you don't predict where the ball is going to be you are not going to get open right.

2) One hand block the player's position another hand up in the air calling for ball.

3)It means keep the player from moving

4)Because if you don't do that defenders will knock out your ball.

5) It means when the ball comes you don't just wait there, you release your defender and meet the ball.

1. It is important to anticipate the pass in order to seal the post, or seal the player and cover him.

2. You should make contact with a forearm wall which is a steady contact, not extended. Extended forearms lead to fouls.

3. Pivot to inhibit means inhibiting or keeping the defender from moving around you. Using the forearm, and rotating with the bottom foot to keep them from moving around the top of you to steal the ball.

4. It is important to chin the ball in the post to keep someone from knocking the ball out of your hands. Holding the ball under your chin makes it less likely that the other team can get the ball loose from you.

5. Position for possession means when the ball is thrown you go get the ball and actively get away from the guard and go get the ball.

1. Why is it important to anticipate the pass?
So you know where the ball is going to go and you can prevent the defender from getting there so you can grab the ball.
2. How should you make contact?
Using your forearm as a wall to hold back the defender but not extending your arm and fouling him.
3. What does pivot to inhibit mean?
After walling them you pivot around to block the defender from getting in front of you and stop their movements
4. Why is it important to chin the ball in the post?
So a defender in the front can't knock the ball out of your hands as easily.
5. What does position for possession mean?
After pivot to inhibit you look to see where the pass is coming from and go to the ball to receive it. Don't wait for the ball to come to you.

1. Anticipating passes is important because you do not want your opponent to get the ball. If you anticipate a pass correctly and get a steal your opponent will not have a chance to score because they are not getting the ball in the first place.
2. You should make contact by putting your forearm into your opponents chest, but not extending the forearm.
3. When you pivot to inhibit you put your forearm into the defenders chest, then plant your foot and swing the other foot around to face the ball. Then you get low and look for the ball, the whole point of this is so your defender does not get the ball.
4. When the ball is low or it's being dribbled it is easy for someone small to get the steal. When the ball is strongly held under your chin it makes it much harder for a defender to get, as it is higher.
5. Position for possession means that when the ball is thrown to you in the post you go get it while keeping your man on your back.

1. Its important to anticipate the pass so you are one step ahead and not wasting time. Also the play can be more fast paced, allowing little time for defense to react
2. You should make contact using a forearm wall that the defender runs into.
3. By using the forearm wall and rotating you body and feet in a way to prevent the defender from moving
4.Its important to chin he ball to ensure that it doesn't get stolen.
5.Instead of sitting back and waiting for the ball, position for possession is when you release from the defender that you have been locking down and go get the ball.

1. It means that as the ball is being swung around the perimeter the post player knows he will get the ball so he starts sealing position early.

2. you need to use a forearm wall with you arm bent. If you extend your arm it will be a foul.

3. To pivot and block out your defender and hold a firm position so he cannot move around you.

4. It keeps the defender from swatting at the ball and knocking it out of your hands.

5, It means to give up some of your placement in the post to ensure that you keep the ball and do not turn it over.

anticipating the pass means to seal the defender out by knowing where the ball is going to be. you are suppose to make contact with your forearm. Pivot to inhibit means to pivot so the defender doesn't get around you. position for possession means to move to the ball when it is thrown and to get open in the paint. When you catch the ball, you catch it chin up so it is more challenging for the defender to steal the ball.

1) Important so that you know that the ball is coming towards your side of the court and the pass will be coming to you. If you anticipate the pass, you can begin to seal your man in the paint.

2) Should make contact with forearm wall (use forearm to push off defender. Don't extend forearm or that will be a could).

3)Means you pivot and get position in such a way that you seal the defender and not allow him to get over top of you.

4) So that the defender cannot knock the ball out of your hands

5) Means that when the pass is thrown to you, instead of sitting and waiting for the pass to come to you, you go out and get the pass. This reduces the chance that the defender will steal the ball as the pass is coming in.

1. It is important to anticipate when the ball is coming near you so you can get in a position to receive the ball.

2. With a forearm wall and seal.

3. It means seal your defender by pivoting around them and gaining control and position on the basket.

4. It is important to chin it so defenders cant knock it out of your hands.

5. Position for possession means you must get in the right spot where you can make a play on the ball being thrown into you even if its a bad pass. It means to get in a position where you're flexible and able to adjust to the pass.
