1. James Naismith invented basketball in Springfield Massachusetts.
2. A defensive player can stand in the paint without guarding anyone for only 3 seconds.
3. During a high school regulation game there are 10 players on the court at one time.
4. Triple threat.
5. Two moves that we worked on in class to attack the basket and get past the defense are the jab step cross over layup and the jab step cross over jump shot. To do the jab step cross over layup, the offensive player gets into the triple threat position, jab steps with his right foot, swings the ball to his left and goes in for a left handed layup. The jab step cross over jump shot is the same except instead of going in for a layup the offensive player goes into the paint and pulls up for a jump shot.

1.James Naismith invented the game of basketball, which was invented in Springfield Massachusetts.

2. A defensive player may stand in the paint for as long as they want.

3. 10 players may be on the court at the same time, 5 from each team.

4. Triple threat position

5. One move is the jab step to jump shot. this is to get separation from the defender to make space for the jump shot. Another is if a defender is playing up on you, you could jab step, then rip the ball low across your body, then strong dribble to the basket for the layup. if he recovers in time for the layup, do the same thing but pull up for the jump shot.

1. James Naismith invented basketball at Springfield College located in Springfield, Mass.
2. In high school basketball, a defensive player can stand in the paint for as long as they want.
3. There are total 10 players on the court.
4. When a smart offensive player catches the ball, they jump catch and immediately go into a triple threat position.
5. The jab step and shot is one move an offensive player can use when the defender is somewhat close to you or a good distance. When you jab step, they will think you are going to drive but instead, you take a jump shot. This is good to use when you’re outside the paint.
Another move, an offensive player can use to get past defenders is the jab step and drive or pump fake and drive. This is best used on the wing if you have an open lane or if you are on top of the key and have an open lane. This move is best used if the defender is playing close to the offender.

2. 3 seconds

3. 10

4. Triple threat

5. Jab step, pull-up jumper when the defender is guarding you tightly and you want to create space for a jump-shot.

Jab step, one dribble pull-up jumper. you use the jab to create space between you and the defender making them think you are going to shoot a jumper then you drive making the defender think you are taking it to the rim and then you pull-up in the middle of driving for an open jump-shot.

3. 5

4. Triple threat

5. One of the best way to create your own shot is to drive to the basket. When you drive to the basket you open up a lot options, and you immediately put pressure on the defense. Then there is the triple threat and then you go into the offense swing and then you make a lay up or jump shot.

1. James Naismith was a Canadian physical education instructor who invented basketball in 1891 at Springfield collage.

2. The defensive player can stand in the paint as long as they want to. However, the offensive player can only be in the paint for 3 seconds.

3. 10 players 5 on each team.

4. The tripe threat because it allows the player to pass, shoot, or dribble.

5. The jab step and the step back. Both of these moves come out of the triple threat position. I would use both of these moves when the defensive player is in my face especially during a 1 on 1 game.

5. one is the fake shot then drive. we can use this to fake the opponent out for a layup. Another move is the drive then pull up for a jump shot. This is effective when the opponent isnt playing as tight, and there is extra space to take the shot.

5. Jab step strong side drive freezes the defense allowing you to drive by to the hoop. The step back creates space between you and the defender allowing for an open shot. I would use these in a 1 on 1 situation.

5. Jab step crossover and then driving to the rim. I use this move when a player is overplaying the side where I usually drive after doing a jab step.

Jab step, drive and a step back jumper is another attacking move. It requires a player to take a step away from the defender after driving after using a jab step. I use this move when I want a closer jump shot and the defender is playing off me.

2.) A high school player can be in the paint no more then 5 seconds without guarding anyone.
3.) In total 10 players can be on the court in a high regulation game.
4.) a smart offensive player gets in triple threat position when they catch the ball.
5.) One moved we learned in class to get passed the defender is pump fack then drive to the hoop. This throws your defender off balanced from the fake and that's when u make your move. This is to be used after you have shot so the defender thinks you will shot again, but instead you fake and drive. Another move we learned in class is jab step fake weak side drive. This move fakes a defender making them move one way while you go the other way and is to be used after you drive on your strong side to keep your defender guessing.

The defender may only stay in the paint for 3 seconds.Only 10 players are on the court. The player should go into triple threat. The move step back is used for a fake drive for a shot.
The jab step is used to create space and fake a drive.
