-Dr. James Naismith created the game of basketball in 1891
in a YMCA training school in Springfield, Massachusetts.

-A defensive player cannot have both feet in the paint for
more than 3 seconds consecutively without guarding someone.

-10 total players, 5 from each team.

-Triple threat.

-The jab step helps vacate the defender and make it possible
to fake out the defender and pass them on a drive to the
basket. I would use it if a defender is playing man defense.
Also, on the crossover you dribble one way fake that way
and cross over very quick to the opposite hand, your
opponent should be a step to a half step behind you
and that is all you need to beat him. I would also use this
when a defender is playing man defense.

1.It was invented by James Naismith in 1891 in Massachusetts
2.A defensive player can’t have 2 feet in the paint for more than 3 seconds without guarding someone.
3.10
4.Triple threat.
5.Strong side drive: jab with the side the ball is on. Take a big step with the same foot and finish it with a layup. It can be used when there is a clear lane to the basket and only one defender in your way.
Jab step: do a jab step. When the defender backs off a little take the shot.
It can be used when there is no one open and no way to get to the basket for an easier shot.

5. in class we learned to jab step and cross over. we would do this move if we wanted to fake one way for space and then go to the opposie side for a shot past the defender. we also learned pump fake. while pretending to shoot the defensive player is tricked and that creates space and time for the offensive player to make a move towards the basket or around the player.

more than 3 seconds without guarding someone.

Triple threat.

The jab step you would use when you are away from the basket and trying to fake your defender out to either shoot or drive to the basket. The next move is the crossover where you switch hands and try and fake out your defender. You would use this away from the basket trying to drive or take a step back shot
