Period 7 Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, February 29th

I think that we should have the strength to rebound well to get more possessions, play defense well to keep the score low, and also to have a balanced offensive attack so one person isn't the only one shooting.

The three strengths that are necessary to win are rebounding, defense and attacking the basket. If you rebound, there a extra chances to set up the offense and score. With defense, it allows for fastbreak points and attacking the basket makes easier shots.

One strength that a team needs is communication. If the players don't communicate, then turnovers and misunderstanding are caused. Another necessary component is post moves. Post moves help a team earn points in the paint, which is very important, since these are easier to earn than 3's. The final strength needed is perimeter shooting. When there are people driving and doing post moves, then one teammate can get open to make a long range shot.

In order to be successful in 3 on 3games, (1)good passes are very important for good teamwork. Good passes lead to easy and fast points. Also because there are more people in the court, good (2)dribbling skill is required to possess and drive the ball. Finally, good (3)shooting skill is required inorder to make shots, which is the ultimate goal of the game.

Ball movement, communication, and finding open shots. These are important because they all lead to scoring in the most efficient way possible.

Three strengths a 3 on 3 team must have to be successful is good ball movement, speed, and accuracy. Good ball movement is important because by moving the ball efficiently, you create openings in the defense to make a clean cut to the basket. Speed is important because if you can outrun your defender, it is much easier to get to the basket or take an open shot. Accuracy is important because being able to make shots in dire times to catch up can change the momentum of the game quickly.

My 3 on 3 team must be able to pass and communicate with each other on offense and defense. teamwork is key in winning games and if my team can do this well, i think we'll go far. We also need to rebound and hit open shots.

nice win against RM, beat northwest

Our 3 on 3 teams need to know how to set picks for each other and box out people and cut to the basket. We need to know how to play defense.

A 3 on 3 team should have great team coordination, in order to know who is best at what, good defense, to allow less shots at the basket, and a great offensive strategy in order to win and get open for passes and shots.

I think in order to have a good team, we will have to get rebounds, play good defense and shoot well. Rebounding will allow us to have more opportuities to attack the basket. Playing good Defense will let us stop them from scoreing. And shooting well will allow us to score many points and making sure they can't come back.

Three strengths we should have are being able to get open shots to improve shooting percentage. Also, we should be able to get rebounds to ensure extra possessions. Also, we should play good defense to keep the opposing team from scoring.

1. We must play well on defense as a whole because defense is one of the number one priorities of winning a basketball game.
2. We must have good passing so we have easy shooting or driving oppotunities.
3. We must talk to each other on the court to win the game because communication is key.

I think that my three on three team should be strong at rebounding, driving, and most importantly defense. Rebounding is important because you can keep the other team from putting back a offensive rebound. Driving and defense is important because when you score by driving and have a good defense you will win for sure. With these three strengths my three on three team will do really well.

my 3 on 3 team is all small, compared to the rest of the class, therefor we must use our shooting ability, quickness, and defense in order to become successful throughout our 3 on 3 tournament. lastly, we must take good unforced shot, making our shooting percentage higher.

The strengths that are necessary in 3 on 3 is team work. we need people to cut and get open, attack the basket hard but smart, smart defense (switching people if necessary) and rebounding and getting posession of the ball.

Love you Mrs. Dyer. thnks for reminding me.

1. need a good post player and point guard

2. eliminate turnovers

3. play good defense.

we need all this because it takes good defense to win games and not turning over the ball will give us more shots and a good post player can score.
