Period 3 Advanced Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, February 29th

Due Date: Wednesday, February 29th

We are getting ready to start our 3 on 3 unit. Based on your own basketball experience, as well as your 2 on 2 experience, what are three strengths that your 3 on 3 team must possess to be successful? Why?

Our three on three team has to be able to hit shots from both the outside and the inside, play man to man defense, and rebound well.

well some of the strengths our team needs to posses is height, speed and shooting. if we were to combine all these talents no one would be able to stop this team. an undefeated record would be in our grasp if we stay mentally focussed. if we have a lapse in thinking we would render our title and be humiliated until the end of the semester. this will not happen and cannot happen, our strengths will out weigh our weaknesses and we will win.

we need to limit turnovers-to stop giving the ball away and score ourselves.have good shot selection- not taking bad shots would help us win. and play good defense-stop other team from making easy shots.

well three on three is not that much different from 2 on 2 basketball so we'll all need to posess good traits in our game like passing, shooting, and dribbling in order to be succesful and as well as our chemistry.

Our team must possess shooting capabilities that woul outweigh the skill of the defense of the other teams. If not, the ability to pic and roll would be extremely helpful, along with the ability to perform a variation of post moves.

Our 3 on 3 team must be able to rebound because if we cant rebound the other team will get too many chances to score for us to win, we must also be able to drive the basket and shoot from outside so there isn't just one way to defend us

Three things a 3 on 3 team needs to be successful are a good post game, good passing, and players who are willing to move without the ball. These things create offense, and they give an alternative option to shooting perimeter shots with a solid post presence.

First and foremost a team must be hungry to win games. Most people weren't trying to win games on the two on two match-ups.
The team has to have good outside shooters because at this point most defenders like waiting at the post to foul others and enjoy the priviledge of "no-fouls in gym."
Finally a good team also needs some chemistry. Understanding where your team mate wants the ball is key to winning. Nobody passes the ball to Perkins at the three point line but he will most likely get the ball when he's at the paint.

we need to move the ball around, make good cuts to the basket, and set screens to get open. It will help us get easy baskets and setting screens can get you and your teammate open for an easy shot.

Kyle Weissenburger,

My 3 on 3 team must possess hard work, team chemistry, and skill. If we all work hard then theres no reason to be upset if we lose etc... With team chemistry and a positive attitude we can encourage eachother to play well even when were not. Our talent and skill takes over the rest.

Our 3 on 3 team has to be able to play offense as well as defense, also we have to try to do well or else we will lose to the teams who actually do try.

Our 3 on 3 team must be good defenders, have good shot selections and must get rebounds. This would give us more opportunities to score and the good shot selections would give us a higher chance of scoring.

For our three on three on team to be successful, me must:
-know each of our roles on the team as a player and play within that role.
-only take shots that we are comfortable taking.
-hustle and play defense with some sort of effort.
These three aspects of our game will lead us to victory.

Some things that a three on three team must have is to have someone who is more of a defensive player and someone who can play offense well. Also, the most important strength is communication.

We must be able to rebound, set picks for each other and work the ball inside and back out.

Three strengths our team must possess are good passing, rebounding, and good shot selection. Good passing will give us open scoring opportunities. Rebounding will give us more than one chance to score and open scoring opportunities will allow us to score more often.

some strengths we have is a little size,we posses some good shooters in my teammates and we have a lot of talent from my two teammates. Fatigue may play a factor but we have to be mentally able to stay with the past.
