1.Whenever a shot is made all the fans go crazy and sometimes there are fights afterward.

2. The goalies have a lot of heavy guard equipment and it seems sooooo hard to shoot on the goalies!

3. Also the team praises the scorer by almost charging him. That is crazy but it shows how close the team is and their teamwork.

4. I saw lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, of passing. Sometimes they passed and it was hard to keep up with where the puck went

5. Players are allowed to take the puck behind the goal and go around it then pass. Also the referees where skates and stay on the rink while trying not to be hit or charged at by players.

I watched the capitals lightning playoff of game. The Caps ended up losing this game later in the series but first off the game was a lot faster paced then in our gym class. The Game play was advanced the players passed very well and rushed for every puck. The players also subbed in and out every so often so the players didn't get exhausted. I was also very entertained by their play, it was exciting and fast.

the players seem to keep up general positions throughout the ice like in a game of soccer. Also the players are always near the puck and never hanging very far away. The players are also always on the move and never sit still. the goalie is very quick and falls to his knees every time the puck is near the goal. The players are also careful not to get andy big fowls cause of power plays. The players also try to keep the puck on the ice except when shoting

I watched the highlights of the 2011 NHL allstar game. Within the first 50 seconds, Ovechkin scores. His team scores 4 goals in the first period before the other scores any. The other team then runs down their lead, andeventually catches up in the second period. Then Ovechkin's team scores 2 more goals, and the other team scores one. I was impressed with how good the offense for both teams was and gained new appreciation for how hard it must be to be a NHL goalie.

I watched the New York Rangers play the Buffalo. The New York Rangers (Visiting) won this game. There were no scores until the very end where they had a shootout to determine the game. The goalies were very good and played hard to keep the ball out of the goal. Everyone in the rink was playing hard as well pushing each other and trying to keep the puck away.

1- the caps have great plays and are organized
2- very aggresive and check eachother
3-they are spread out so that if one of their players are in trouble they can get a good pass to the other teamate
4-there can only be a total of 5 players on the ice at once for each team
5-they are alwas in the correct position so if one of their teamates get out of the correct position they can back them up

Flyers vs. Calgary

1. The flyers went down 3 early but clawed their way back in the third quarter
2. There was bad goaltending on both sides
3. The game went to a shootout when neither team scored in the shootout
4. Scott Hartnell fell 1 goal shy of a hat-trick for the flyers
5. In a hockey game, there will be a shootout until a winner is found (no ties).

I watched the Devils and Rangers game and noticed a couple of things.

1)Every person on the ice except for the goalie would rush for the puck when a team lost possession.
2)The area around the goal gets very crowded when a team tries to score.
3)Everything happened very quickly.
4)teams always created space for passing. This led to good passing.
5)the player took advantage of the space behind the goal to create many plays.

It was fun and interesting to watch

NY Islanders vs. Washington Capitals

1. A team usually is able to control the puck for a while and take multiple shots on goal
2. They pass a lot to make sure they get the best shot
3. There were only five players other than the goalie, and all played both offense and defense
4. It's amazing how precise the shots have to be to get it past the goalie
5. The players are very aggressive and the game is fast paced- the players shake off hits and keep playing

When I watched a hockey game, I learned a lot of things. One thing is that all of the players have very high tempers when playing so fights break out a lot. Another thing that I saw is that it is very hard to track the puck because it looks so small on the TV. A third thing I learned was that there is an offsides rule which says no player can cross the blue line before the puck. Fourthly,I learned that if it is tied after the game, there is a shootout to determine who wins, best of 5 shots for each team. A final thing that I learned is that even though the players are allowed to check each other, there are some rules on how, and if the players disobey, they must serve some time in the penalty box, giving the other team a one person advantage.

I watched the New York Rangers vs. Bufalo game. Both teams did not score the entire game, therefore a penalty shoot out was put into play. Both teams played an excellent game, with great defensive and offensive plays. The players in the game tend to play a lot more physically than we do at school. In the end, the New York Rangers won the penalty shoot out, and won the game.

1. The puck moves through players much faster, the players pass with precision and speed.
2. The goalies are heavily padded and have larger sticks to block pucks
3.Both teams are quick to the the puck, they fly when it is hit loose trying to score or pass to a teammate.
4.The teams can get very violent and may result in all out brawls.
5.When a player does something wrong he is put in the penalty box for a set amount of time depending on what he did

They move the puck very quickly. If passing is not effecient they will not score. The goalies stop a majority of shots. Fights are very exciting. Playing behind the net seems very effective for scoring.

i saw that the players happen to spread out over the whole ice rink. they also happen to go crazy after every goal because there are so few of them. there are 3 attack and 2 defense. the goalies are also were a lot of pads ... alot! and the goals are much bigger than ours.

1) The teams had great puck movement.

2)Not only was the puck movement good and precise there also was a good amount of it.

3)I saw some plays be put into action, and the teams seemed they had their own strategy.

4)The Players all check each other very hard.

5)The speed of the game is incredibly fast.

I watched the Washington capitals play off against the Florida Panthers.
1. The commenter on the game kept on repeating that the Panthers were using a power play strategy and it certainly allowed the Panthers to get goals as they eventually won against the Capitols.
2. The teamwork of the panthers was incredible, they passed the puck between 3 people and ended up distracting the other team thus effectively rendering their defense mute so that their teammate could score openly.
3. I noticed that one of the panther players was able to score from about halfway of the playing field to the goal, something that would be uncanny in our play.
4. Initially the game was tight as there were no goals in the 1st quarter and they ended up tying in the 2nd quarter, but in the 3rd quarter the panther gained two more goals and with it sealed the capitols defeat even though both teams continued to score another goal.
The highlight of the game was when the panthers scored in a messy clash in which the puck ended up bouncing off of the shoulder of one of the falling panthers who also happened to land in the goal as well; at first it wasn't considered a goal, but another referee made a correction.
I happen to favor the Capitols although I ultimately know little of hockey, but the Panthers played well that night.
