Due Date: October 20th

Based on the different invasion games you are learning and participating in during this unit (flag football, basketball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee) what are similarities between the sports we have done?

Xixi Zhou, They all consist of 2 teams with each team trying to score a goal or a touch-down on the other side with a frisbee, soccer ball, or football. (1 item) They are all team sports and require the players to play on an open field.

They all involve coordination (either hand eye or feet eye) and teamwork (or it would be impossible). Also they all have rules to play or it wouldn't be fun like if you hold the frisbee for 1 minute before passing it on for ultimate frisbee or let everyone use their hands in soccer. =)

Hi this is shane. IMO, the similarities between the invasions games we've been playing is that they all need teamwork in order to score. Even though personal skills are an important part too, but since basketball soccer football and ultimate frisebee are team games, it is very important to place each team member to the proper spot according to their personalc strengths.

Ultimate frisbee and football rules are pretty much the same; you have to try and gain possesion of the frisbee/ball and get to the other side to get a touchdown. In basketball, you're also trying to gain possesion, but you get baskets instead of touchdowns, just like soccer, except with goals. So, all in all, the most prominent similarity between these invasion games is that you want to gain possesion of the ball/frisbee, and score a point.

All the invasion games require teamwork in passing the [football, frisbee, soccerbal, basketball]to the other players. In each game, both teams start at one end of the playing field and are trying to get to the other. Also, they all require defensive and offensive plays/strategies.

All of the games involve two teams that try to get the ball or frisbee from one end to the other. Then trying to get it in a goal or an end zone.

They all have two teams and they both involve running. Their all team sports.

All the invasion games are fairly similar. They all consist of two teams facing each other. In flag football and in ultimate frisbee you try to get a touchdown. However one has a greater chance of doing this if they contain more possession, just like soccer and basketball. In soccer you can only score if you have 3 passes and in basketball you also need 3 passes to be able to shoot. For a person to be able to play these sports they have to have good hand eye coordination(basketball, ultimate frisbee, and football) and they also need a good endurance so they can keep on running.

ALex Levine, All of the sports we have been playing so far invovled a lot of teamwork. Without the use of your teammates, it would be impossible to win. Also, ultimate frisbee and football are similar sports. In Both you have to score touchdowns.

They are all team sports. You score on the opposite side of the field/court. All of the sports include a ball or frisbee that is passed until someone is able to score. There are boundaries for the field you play on, too.

Both teams try to gain possesion of the ball and get to the opposite side, and each team member must pass it, a total of 3 times before they shoot or throw. Teamwork is needed to win these games, and you need good coordiantion and aim to score.

They are all team games that require just your body, unlike lacrosse or hockey. These are the sports that people would consider on the agressive side because its not like golf, but you actually face your opponents and verse each other.

Ultimate frisbee and football rules are almost the same but they have different types of equipment for example ultimate frisbee has to have a frisbee and goals, but in football you have to have flags and a football; you have to try and gain possesion of the frisbee & football and get to the other side to get a touchdown. In basketball, you're also trying to gain possesion, but you get baskets instead of touchdowns, just like soccer, except with goals. So, all in all, the most prominent similarity between these invasion games is that you want to gain possesion of the ball/frisbee, and score a point.

The point of every invasion game is to attack the defense. At the same time, you are trying to stop the opponents' offense from scoring. Go team Awesome!(The name says it all)

chris papadopoulos, the similarities are that in all the sports we've played before there are 2 teams, and each team is going against the other trying to win. Both teams are trying to score points by scoring a touchdown, hitting a home run, passing through the line with the Frisbee, etc... All the games we've played require teamwork to be successful.

in all these sports the main thing you had to do wasget the ball or frisbe into a certan goal.aLso all these sports a re team sports and you need to work as a team to score. For both soccer and basketball you dribble the ball but one with your hands and one with your feet. For both ultimate frisbe and football you hav to get the ball or disk into the endzone.

All invasion games consist of two teams playing against each other to earn points whether it be goals basktets or touchdowns. In order to do so, teams must position themselves in offensive and deffensive postitons.

All of the activities and sports we participated in required team work. as long as everyone gave a good effort your team did a good job.

All the sports in the unit include a lot of constant movement. The teams in all of the sports are working towards a common goal to score and win. They all require getting open and working together as a team. No one person can do all the work in these sports, it's a team effort.

Milan Pereira,

In order to play all 4 games you neeed 2 teams that compete against each other, an object(frisbee, soccer ball, football, or basketball) and in order to win you would need to score on the opposite side of the feild.

All of the invasion game sports that we did consisted of two teams, some sort of ball (or Frisbee), and involved both teams defending some sort of goal or end-zone. Another similarity to all of the games is that teamwork is a essential in winning the game.

Most of the invasion games are similar to eachother. There is always a place where you are trying to score, creating a common goal for your team. All the games require the players to work to get the ball. And there are many differnet plays that can be run. Alos, in all the games you must work together with your team.
