1. We worked on ball handling which helps us move down the court having control over the ball even though there is defense in front of us.
2. When we did 1v1 we focused on making quick shots/ blowing by our defender. This helps when everyone on the team is covered and your the only one that has a chance of scoring.
3. When we did 2v2 , we focused on post moves. We learned how to feed people on the paint with smart passes. This also helped with setting screens (pick and roll) while also helping to score more effectively.
4. When we did 3v3, we focused on making that V cut so we could shake our defender. Also we ran plays such as basic in order to set some kind of organization to our play.

5 on 5 is a combination of everything in basketball. It takes parts from 3 on 3 2 on 2 ans 1 on 1. In 5 on 5 every part of basketball is used.

I feel like I have learned each topic well due to the warm-ups.

The movement skill is important in 5 on 5 because you need to move to get open for the pass. For 1 on 1 you need to guard your defender so the other team does not score. And for 2 on 2 you need it for post moves so you can score easier in the post instead of taking a shot. Screens are necessary in order to get an open shot.

1. Fundamental skills and movement skills help not only execute simple plays like hitting an open shot, but also allow you to space the floor correctly and create more open shots.I feel successful with spacing but need more work on fundamentals.

2. Knowing how to attack/defend the basket is important for converting or stopping a fast break where there is only you and one other person. I need working with finishing in 1-on-1 situations.

3. If used correctly in 5-on-5, post moves are a great way to earn easy layups. I feel my post moves are solid but due to my height I get blocked sometimes.

4. Setting screens for a defender creates open shots. If the defense is read correctly it can lead to a steal and a fast break. Creating space gives lanes to good ball handlers to drive to the hoop and post players room to make their move.

1) dribbling, passing, picks, cuts ext.
2) you want to use swift moves to confuse the defender, and when youre on defense you want to stay close to him and defend the basket.
3) drop step, base line, posting
4)use the screens to get open, you can read the defense by there body stance and picks create space.

1. Fundamental Skills, Movement Skills – you must be able to have good ball movement, passing, and defense skills in order to do well.
2. 1-on-1 – attacking the basket will allow you to drive past the defense in order to score a basket. Defending the basket will prevent the other team from scoring.
3. 2-on-2 – post moves help for when you are around the block area and you get the ball. It helps get around the defender in a simple and easy way.
4. 3-on-3 – setting screens allows another player on your team to get open for perhaps a better shot/opportunity. Creating space in this unit is very important so the ball can be moved around and creates opportunity. Reading the defense is very important so you are able to anticipate where the ball is going in order to potentially get a steal.
5. I feel each of these topics are very successful in the 5-on-5 unit because without even realizing it, we have been learning simple strategies and skills that can be used to thrive in a game.

1v1 can help me learn personal plays, and 2v2 can help me to learn pass and coordinate, and 3v3 help me to learn team works.

I've learned basketball is a movement sport. Everyone must be moving on the court for the team to be effective. 1 on 1it is important to always attack and play defense because there will not be help. 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 requires communication. 5 on 5 needs a mix of movement communication and defense to succeed. 1. Moving to position, co-ordination with team, benefits both offense and defense
2. Offensive skills, useful when team attacks the net
3. Effective defense, co-ordination with team
4. More efficient offense and defense

1. Each player on a 5 on 5 team must have good movement skills because this allows a good flowing offense.
2. When a player has the ball, it is smart for them to drive and either get a layup or draw in the defense and pass it out to the open man.
3. Posting up is important because it gives them a good opportunity to score.
4. Setting screens allows a player to get separation from the man on them and sets up good scoring opportunities.

1. I think a strong fundamental core and good movement skills are essential to any capable basketball team.

2. I think that 1on1 ability is very important because these games dont involve a lot of passing and do involve a lot of solo fast breaks

3. Post ability and defense are two very important aspects of 5 on 5 as an offense can function very efficiently with a strong post presence

4. Screening and cutting are essential for any winning team as they make the whole team a threat on offense.

5. I feel successful with the 1 on 1 and the fundamentals but not the other two because our offense has been anemic so far

1. Fundamental skills will help a team win a basketball game easier with good passing and good moving to get players open to score.
2. 1-on-1 basketball is a first option way to score by attacking the basket. Defending 1 on 1 is the first line of defense for the team.
3. Post moves is a good and efficient way to easily score. and post defense is a good way to stop the other team from getting easy baskets
4. setting screens will get teammates open for a shot or layup. reading the defense will determine what the offense will do to score.

1.) Fundamental and movement skills relate to offense and defense in that if you don't have the skills, you're a liability on both ends.
2.) With attacking and defending the basket, you have to be able to attack on a fast break, as well as in half-court sets to get easy points. You also have to protect the basket so as to prevent the other team from getting easy buckets.
3.) Post moves are important, because a team has to have at least one player who can play and defend the post so as to be balanced. If a team just has 5 shooters, it's not a very good team.
4.) Setting screens, reading the defense, and creating space are all important in five-on-five. If a team has these skills, they can confuse the defense and pick it apart so as to get points.

I personally feel comfortable with all these skills, especially attacking and defending the basket as well as setting screens and creating space. My post offense could use work, however.

Fundamental skills and movement skills help you in 5-on-5 because since theres more people on the court, you need to use these skills to move around more to make better plays as well as use your ball skills to play better. Also, going from 1v1 to 2v2 to 3v3 to 5v5 changes how you have to play the game because there are more players on the court each time so you have to change how you play. Another thing is when you expand the number of players on the court, you have more options to score offensively and you also have more help on defense to stop the opponent from scoring. Overall, I feel successful with all of these topics.

Movement Skill is very important on 5 on 5 because of chemistry, and moving the ball to get a shot. 1 on 1 helps you with defending the other player. and learn to attack the basket
2 on 2 helps with pick and roll and passing the ball
3 on 3 puts everything we learn from basketball class together and so is 5 on 5

The movement skill is important in 5 on 5 because it helps create good plays and more opportunities to score. Attacking and defending the basket is a good way to increase points and defending is important in 5 v 5 also to not let them score. And for 2 on 2 you need it for post moves so you can score easier in the post instead of taking a shot. Screens are necessary in order to get an open shot. Setting Screens, Reading the Defense, and creating space helping in 5v5 because it allows more chances for your teammates and yourself to score. I feel successful in most topics but i need to work on attacking the basket and movement skills.

In 1 on 1, we learned to attack the basket and play defense, which is crucial in 5 on 5. In 2 on 2, we learned to do post moves so that we could effectively score. In 3 on 3, we learned to set screens which allows for a man to be open and and reading the defense so you don't lose your man. All of these aspects are used in 5 on 5 gameplay. I feel very successful with these topics.

1)Fundamentals are a key component for any player who wants to be good. Like ball handling or hitting an open shot
2)Attacking the basketball is very vital for fastbreaks and getting fouled
3)Post moves are very important for when you have a mismatch with a smaller defender
4)Creating space is super important because there are more people on a team and it also helps with reading defenses

1.) Ball handling helps a player get up and down the court easily and especially useful when someone is guarding you full court

2.) in one on one, the person who wins is usually quicker and has better ball handling skills. This helps for when you have the ball and no one to pass to

3.) In the 2 on 2 unit, we focused on post moves which helped us learn how/ when to pass the ball to someone in the post. This helps with working better as a team

4.) The 3 on 3 unit focused on setting screens and creating open shots. Also if you read the defense by looking at the defenders position
