1.  Please name 2 ways that Kevin Durant or LeBron James created space or was able to get to the basket or open to get their shot off .  Be specific when you name a move that he used.

2.  Explain how his ability to read the defense allowed him to be so successful in this game  (use the same player you talked about in question #1).

3.   Finally, please tell me which player you think is more of an offensive threat and why.

they used crossover and spin move.
it helps to read a defense to be able to determine if you should pass or shoot or if you should play your play out or improvise
Kevin Durant because he has a better variety of driving or shooting because he is a deadly three point shooter.

LeBron James used a hesitation crossover move to get an and 1. He also used a step back move to get an open shot. His ability to see where the gaps are in the defense gives him an advantage, because he knows where to attack. I think LeBron is more of an offensive threat.

1. LeBron used the step back and the hesitation to get away of the defenders.

2. LeBron's ability to read the defense makes him successful because he is able to trick the defenders.

3. I think Kevin Durant is more of an offensive threat than LeBron because Durant is able to shoot the outside ball as well as drive inside.

1. By studying the defense and analyzing his opportunities, Kevin Durant is successful at creating space in order to secure the basket. One way in which Durant creates space, is by shifting his weight as if he is going to go towards the basket. This causes the defense to back off. He then steps backwards, giving himself space to shoot at the basket from the 3 point line.
Secondly, while dribbling, in order to get around the defense, he spins away from the defense. This disorients the defense and allows him to pass it to his teammate who is then easily able to dunk the ball.
2. In order to be able to successfully perform these maneuvers, Durant has to think clearly but concisely so that the defense does not have time to react. By sensing an opportunity to distance himself from the defense, Durant is able create space and then either go for the goal himself, or pass the ball to a teammate who is in a better position to make the shot.
3. Durant is more of an offensive threat in my opinion because he is able to keep the defense farther away from him as opposed to James who tries to push through the defense.

1. Kevin Durant used 2 differnt methods to create space to shoot. He used the Spin Move is when he spins around the player to get fake out the player. The second move he used was the Escape Move which is where you fake the opponent and do a crossover with the ball.

2. The ability to be able to read the defense allowed him to be successful because he was able to know when he could fake the opponent and still be able to get around and make the shot.

3. Kevin Durant is more of an offensive threat because he has a fast rebound and a fast pace when it comes to shooting.

LeBron used the stepback to move away from the defenders. He also used hesitation for the same purpose.

Lebron was able to mislead the defenders so he could have more space to go in for the shot or to just take it right there.

Kevin Durant because he can drive into the shot really quickly but can also shoot from the three point line

1. LeBron James used the jab step crossover move and the spin move while drawing back to get to the basket.

2. His ability to read the defense allowed him to time his moves accordingly and plan where he wanted to go with the ball to distract the defense and get to the basket so that he could be successful in the this game.

3. LeBron James is more of an offensive threat because he can drive the defense away to create an open shot at the basket by accurately timing his moves and shots.

1. LeBron James uses a jab step crossover move and a spin move draw back to get to the basket.

2. His ability to read the defense allowed him to accordingly time his moves and shots so that he could be successful in this game.

3. LeBron James is more of an offensive threat than Kevin Durant because he can distract the defense by accurately timing his shots after they have attempted to defend their basket or positioning himself at an angle where they cannot reach him when he shoots.

1. LeBron utilized the step-back move and jab-crossover move to make space and attack the basket.

2. LeBron see holes and is able to cut to the basket when he doesn't have that ball.

3. KD is a more all-around player but LeBron uses more offensive moves to get to the basket and make plays.

1.) Lebron James used the spin move and hesitation to get by the defender and get to the basket
2.)He read the defense by knowing that they are guarding him on hos left side so he spins and gets to his right side and he has an open layup. He uses the hesitation because to defense is backing up so he fakes going forward and hesitates and then pulls up for a jump shot
3.)
Kevin Durant because he has more of a verity of shots. He can shoot the three and he can drive while LeBron can only pretty much drive to the basket

1. Lebron used the post up to fade away move to get a lot of his baskets.
2. Durant used the behind the arc cross over move to draw his defender away from him to get his shot off.
3. I think Durante is a larger offensive theta than lebron because. Durant can shoot the three ball much better than lebron and Durants ability to penetrate the defense is almost unmatched in the NBA.

2.Reading the defense allows you to see holes and react to it quickly

3.Lebron James is a more offensive threat because he sees the flaws in defense and uses that as an advantage

they used a crossover or stepback. Lebrons ability to make precise plays in tight places and create open space is his adavantage. Being able to read the defense is very important.
Lebron is a better threat because his all around skills are godlike. He has improved them to there max making him an unstoppable force. He is however a better offensive threat.

1. LeBron uses the step back and the crossover to create distance between himself and the defender.

2. LeBron is good at reading the defense and knowing when to cut to the hoop. He is strong and can finish in the paint.

3. I believe Durant is a better overall offensive threat because he has a great outside shot while being able to drive to the net like LeBron.
