Period 7 -Advanced Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, March 26th

In class we are just starting our 3 on 3 unit.  A critical part of ths unit is going to be setting screens and reading the defense. Please watch the video below and answer the following questions. Each question is worth 2 points. Please make sure to write your name on your Blog.





1.  When you set a screen, do you set the screen on a person or an area?

2. What are 3 things the offensive player can do when they are being screened?

3. When should you curl off of a screen?

4. What is the most important thing to do when coming off a screen?

5. How frequently is your team using screens during your game play? Have they been effective for your team?

1)You screen an area.
2)1-Back door.
2-curl.
3-Run a bump.
3)A player must use the curl if he is being followed by the diffender,and must use this move to get open.
4)read the dffender.
5)we have not began to play yet but im sure we will use this and it will be very helpful since it would make it easier for us to make a shot and to escape the defense.

5. we use them every game and they work very well.

2. They can curl hard, go backdoor or get bumped by their screener and fade.

3. When the defender is following right behind you

4. The most important thing is to rub off of your screener's shoulders tightly

5. They have been very effective in our gameplay as we use them regularly to open up space and create plays

4) look for the ball and make sure it's tight
5) we have a little and yea they work

4.Reading the defense is the most important thing when running a screen play.
5. My team has used screening a fair amount in the time we've played, it usually leads to a basket because everyone on my team knows how to set and come around a screen well.

5. We dont run any offball screens, but i think we should run some to increase our offensive efficiency.

5)we honestly never use screens, we just move around a lot with out the ball and shoot 3's my shot isnt too good but my teammates is alright
