We are just starting our floor hockey unit. Watch the video below about the history, rules, and strategies of floor hockey and then answer the questions below.  Please make sure to put your name on the blog or you will not receive credit.

1. The first indoor hockey games were played in Battle Creek, Michigan, in 1962.
2. The standard number of players is 6 for each team.
3. The four positions in floor hockey are center, wings/forwards, defenders and the goalie.
4. The most accurate form of passing is called a forehand push pass which is a player passing by pushing the puck with their bottom hand pushing the stick forward.
5. The major penalties are tripping, elbowing,throwing the stick, hooking, checking, intentional holding of a player/ delay of a game.
6. A power play is when a team with all of its players(full strength) has an advantage over the team charged with a penalty that now must play with less players(shorthanded).
