Period 2 Net Games

Due Date: Tuesday, January 8th
It has been a great semester in all of my classes.

For your final blog I want to know how I can be a better teacher. Please answer the following questions for your final blog.
1. What did you like most about the class?
2. What did you like least about the class?
3. How did you like the use of the blog in class?
4. What would you change to make your experience in physical education better?
5. Will you take a physical education class again?

Your response will have no implications for your final grade other than if you fail to do it, so please be honest as your responses help form what we do in the future. It has been a pleasure working with each of you this past semester. Stop in and say hi when your travels bring you by the gym.

1. The music! Getting pumped up every day, and all the stories about Sean and Emery.

2. The basketball hoops getting in the way of our play.

3. The blog was a convenient and clever way to quiz us.

4. Absolutely nothing. 2nd period was always the highlight of my day.

5. Probably not in future years because I've already completed my credit and other classes are more important.

1. I liked being able to play the sports. I like learning and playing new sports.
2. The warm-up and I didn't always like the competitions and being paired with people we didn't like.
3. I felt it was a bit of a hassle and I didn't really learn anything from doing them. They weren't that bad though. I liked how we had a lot of time to complete them.
4. I can't really think of anything for this one.
5. I'll definitely do another class if I have time or space in my schedule. I feel that this is my time of the day to unwind. I like P.E. and it's my second favorite period. (lunch being first)

1. i liked how we got to compete with our classmates during every unit.

2. i didn't like how much time we spent during a class period doing multiple exercises because it took too much time away from game play.

3. I loved the idea of the blog because it was an easy way to learn something about what we are doing in class.

4. I would have liked to have equal amount of time for warmup and game play because game play was my favorite part of class. (the part i would change)

5. yes I would take a gym class again!!!!!

1) I really enjoyed the sports I played (they're all my favorite). I also enjoyed the music, as we did not have music being played last year in gym class.

2) There was nothing that I disliked about the class (honestly!).

3) I think that the use of the blog for class use helped me, as I don't usually check tennis serve technique videos when I'm on YouTube or something. I also thought that this was clever, as i learned how to post a comment on a blog (look i usually don't do these kinda things). We've just been introduced to the Internet not too long ago and I think that this is a good time to get well acquainted with technology.

4) I think that we should incorporate table tennis into our curriculum and take out volleyball (no offense to those who enjoyed volleyball). If this were to take place, no one would get hurt (or less injuries). Other than that, I think that the time spent in our units (for example, badminton) was a little bit rushed, but I can see why it was (Sandy and many other misc. factors).

5) I would love to, but because it will have an affect on my academic schedule, I cannot, despite having created such fond memories in this class :)

1. I got to play sports that I am good at with friends and other people around my level
2. For Doubles, I would have liked it if we could choose our partners for at least one day or two
3. Good, because it is on the computer and typing is very easy
4. Bring my own rackets for tennis and badminton
5. For next semester yes, but in upcoming years most likely no because i have other credits that I need

1. What I really liked most about the class is that we get to choose our own partners and play fun games
2. I just wish our tennis unit was longer
3. I think using a blog is a much more efficient way of doing hw because if it were handouts students might lose them
4. Nope
5. Probably not but only because I will be taking other classes

1. The one thing I liked the most was how we interacted with each other and you.
2. I was a bit dissapointed with the way some people acted while playing matches.
3. I liked the use of the blog because it gave me an insight about what we were about to do.
4. I would maybe stop people from behaving in ways that might affect others such as, not playing by the rules, messing around when others don't want to.
5. I will definetly take a physical education class again. I loved this class and I looked foward to it everyday.

It has been a pleasure working with you Mrs. Dyer!

1. I like how we always have background music on when we're playing net games.
2. I didn't like the basketball nets in the way of our gameplay, because some people got the side courts with the nets and they were really irritating sometimes.
3. The blog was very convenient and more enjoyable than in-class written work. The blog was a great idea.
4. Nothing. Great class in general!
5. I don't think so, my gym credit is will be completed by the end of this year. But the class was very fun and enjoyable.

1) I really liked you as a teacher and how you always kept your cool during class. You made every single unit enjoyable :D. Oh, and having the music playing during our warm-ups were great!
2) Honestly, the class was great, but i would have liked if we could have picked teams for some units. I also do understand your reasoning for not letting us pick teams so its all good :).
3) The blog was a really easy, and less boring than paper work.
4) Uh, i think i had a pretty good time so i have to say none.
5) Maybe..haha, i'm not entirely sure, but i might.
