I watched the 2009 NHL All-Star Game 1/25/09 on you tube and saw that th3e players are allowed to go behind the net with the puck. I also saw that the players are allowed to shove other players at the side of the wall. When moving with the puck, the players alternate the the which side of the stick hits the puck. the goalie also has a stick but it is thicker than the other players. The players pass the puck a lot, which helps them score.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-star game on youtube.I've noticed that the hockey players played by using both sides of the stick. The goalie is always alert and follows the puck with his/her eyes. This helps the goalie know where to block the puck. I like the fact that teamwork is very important to the game; without teamwork of passing the puck to each other, then it would be nearly impossible to score.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-Star game 1/25/09 on youtube. I noticed that the game is very fast paced. It surprised me because there was a shot like every 2 minutes. Also in many of the plays to a goal many of the players used different passes to eachother to get through the defense. The players also were allowed to moved all around the goal and even behind it. Lastly, the players would dribble the puck down the rink by alternating the hockey stick back and forth.

I watched the Winter Classic last year between the Bruins and Flyers. I saw one guy on the Flyers get decked and he fell into the other guy so the Bruins got a goal. Then, one Bruin player tried to score and got into the goal lane behind the goalie. I did not know he could do that. I observed that the goalie doesnt really move out of his goal lane very often. The game went to overtime and people started decking each other again and Tim Thomas finally scored. The score was 2-1. and people went crazy afterwards.

Watched on youtube Red Wings Vs. Avalanche 1997. I saw when taking shots players kept there sticks low and got down low themselves. When the puck got to close to goal they would hit far away to other side of the rink. Players did spin moves to try and get past the other team. Check's were often thrown. Players often went behind goal passed to some one in front of goal, setting them up to score. Body check's were useful by the other team for making players loose control of the .puck

I watched a Penguins vs Capitals winter classic hockey game and there was a lot of action going on during the time the puck dropped until the ref blew the whistle. Many players slashec eachother for the puck and hooked eachother. The players started to fight, which is very fun to watch as the team and the fans started to get involved in the game. Although many players were interfering with eachother and playing very dirty, the refs did not call many penalites because it was an highly anticipated game and the refs did not want to slow down the momentum. I enjoyed watching the game because i am a penguins fan and so it was fun to see them play outdoors, although you couldnt see very well because of the overhead cameras.

I watched a youtube video and saw that the players are very aggressive. They shove and push each other into the wall. The players pass a lot sometimes even if they're right next to each other. By doing this they made more goals. The goalie has a stick and has thick padding. The player can move around the net and there are no outs.

I watched the capitals vs penguins game 5 in the 2009 playoffs. I noticed how fast the game is, everyone is moving at all times, in defense and offense. I was also impressed with how skilled every player is on the ice. I also saw how fast the speed of the puck is when they take shots. I saw how physical the game is and how good their passing is. I also saw how good the goalies reflexes are, they managed to save many shots in a row.

I watched the Penguins vs. Capitals Winter Classic. The action was fast pace. The players also started fighting, which was interesting. There wasn't much stoppage of play which I expetced because hockey is a physical game. I don't watch hockey very often buy I enjoyed it.

I watched a Capitals vs. Penguins game. I noticed how each team has there own skill on the ice. Each team moves at a fast pace at all times. Both teams crash into each other as they both try to get the puck. Last, ice hockey players can go behind the actual goal I didn't know that.

I watched the 2011 Winter Classic, Penguins vs. Capitals. Both teams are very good and played very aggressively. There were a few penalities, but not many. There were a few fights. There was a lot of checking and some very good passing. It was a very good game to watch because of the huge rivalry between the teams. I noticed that the goalies have to be very alert because of the amazing shots being taken by both teams. It was an amazing game, which was even better when the caps won!

I watched the 2009 NHL All-Star Game 1/25/09. There is a lot of teamwork involved in the game as well as speed. The game rarely stops and the puck is moved around very quickly. Also the teams tend to be very physical and check eachother a lot. Lastly, the goalie rarely leaves his spot in front of the goal in the middle of a game to prevent easy goals to be scored.

I watched the 2008 NHL all star game on you tube adn saw that the goalie can block by using pags on his legs and sort of kneeling down. i also saw that players are aloud to go behind the goal. the goalie has really big gloves on so that he can catch the puck but usually just kneeled down to try and block it. the players are aloud to push each other against the wall pretty hard. i saw that the players passed a lot during the game.

i watched the 2009 NHL All-Star Game 1/25/09 on youtube.

1. I now know that hockey has no boundary lines.

2. I thought it was weird how the player s kept going on the sides and behind the net.

3. A common tactic among the players is to circle around the net and to score from the other side.

4. Towards the beginning of the video, someone was about to get a goal but i think they realized they might not make it so they passed it back to their teammate who was right behind them.

5. People fall down a lot.

I watched the Detroit Red Wings face the Colorado Avalanche in 1997. I saw players that would push their opponents into the wall if they had the puck. I also saw that the goalie has huge knee/shin guards. I saw the goalie slide down to his knees to save a shot. I saw that players can randomly start fights and the ref does not interfere. I saw that some players' faces aren't even protected during the time they play. When i saw the video i knew that it was intense by the crowd's cheering. I feel like hockey is a fun sport to watch and play.

I watched the Capitals @ Flyers 4/17/08 Game 4 in the playoffs in 2008. I saw that hockey is a game of speed, teamwork, and momentum. When one team scores a goal, they start playing better because of momentum. I also saw that even though the caps lost, Ovechkin is still a beast.

I watched the 2008 NHL All-Star Game. While watching I realized that there is no break during the game, everyone is in fast constant motion. Also, I noticed passing is key and even though individual talent is important working as a team is too. The Goalie is a major asset to the team; they have to be alert with fast reflexes. The players seem to be somewhat over dramatic but they do not dwell on their mistakes for too long. Players also had a lot of different moves when it came to playing both defense and offense.

I watched Canada vs Russia on the NHL network channel today 1/5/11. one thing I noticed is there is a lot of violence involved expectantly to the players near the wall. It also seems like they aim at the corner of the net to score. the players bounce the puck of the wall to pass to another player. Lasty I thought It was weird how the goalie sometimes goes to the back of the goal.

I watched the 2009 NHL all-star ame on youtube. I saw that the players can go behind the net. Also the all of the players dribble the puck from side to side a lot. This helps to control the puck. There was also a lot of passing to teamates who are open for the shot.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-Star Game on youtube and saw how aggressive hockey is. Theres lots of shoving and pushing. The players can skate around really fast. The goalie doesn't leave the goal and doesn't really move around at all. I was surprised that even with the helmets and everyone on the ice they could still see the puck. They pass the puck around a lot.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-star game. THroughout watching this video i see that hockey players are aloud to get very physical while playing. Players are aloud to go behind the net with the puck. I also saw that most of all the players were making very swift agressive moves to get away from the defense. For protection the goalie has a lot more padding then the other players. And lastly i saw that the goalie is aloud to block a shot with any part of the body.

so i went on you tube to find some stuff and it appears that all of the highlights-videos fall into the fallowing categories: impossible shots, epic wipe-outs, fights-checking, and looking like a ninja, with some shooting on you own team

I watched the 55th NHL All-Star Game on youtube and i noticed that the players pass a lot in order to get points/shots. Also, the goalies have a lot more padding on than the other players. the players are allowed to go behind the net. The players will alternate the stick from one side to the other to move the puck and keep it in control. I also noticed that the goalies have a thicker stick and they stand with their legs shoulder width apart in the goal. The players are also allowed to push the other players in order to get the puck so this makes the game very rough.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-Star game on youtube. I saw that the players moved very fast and were able to make goals pretty fast, unlike us. Moreover, I saw that a lot of the players would pass to one another and the puck would not go pass the player being passed to, unlike us. The players also were allowed to moved behind the goal. Fourth, I saw that the players were allowed to push each other. Lastly, I saw that it was ok to fight each other in hockey. I think they allow this to make the game more interesting.

i watched the 2009 NHL All-Star Game which was on youtube. Both teams were very good at teamwork which is how they passed and tricked the other team. The goalie would always be put under pressure by the opponent who was always surrounding the goal from all sides. It also surprised me when the players were able to go behind the goal, and trick the goalie . I also saw how the players would bend down low to gain speed and straighten their back to slow down. The players would also shift the hockey stick back and forth to dribble the puck.

I watched the Carolina vs. Edmonton - Round #4, Game #6 2006 NHL Playoffs.

In the first part, Edmonton easily made their first goal of the game by good offensive strategy.Shortly after, Edmonton made another goal using the same tactics. Carolina needs a better goalie. California also needs more defense. Edmonton would occasionally make it to California's side in the game.

This Tuesday I watched the game Washington Capitals against the Tampa Bay Lightning and was very disappointed because we lost 1-0 in overtime!!
The starting goalies were D. Roloson for Tampa Bay and S. Varlamov for the Washington Capitals.
I saw that the rink is divided into zones by a red line at the center of the ice and two blue lines, that the ice is enclosed by boards and Plexiglas and that the goals are scored by using the stick to shoot the puck into the opponent's net.
I also saw that each team has six players on the ice, one goalie and five field players and that substitutions are unlimited and can be made at any time and do not require an official's permission, or a stoppage in play.
The game began when the referee dropped the puck between two opposing forwards and I saw that it is played in three 20-minute periods with the clock being stopped during all stoppages in play. In this game at the end of normal time the result was 0-0 so we had extra time!!
I also saw some players being charged with a penalty and being sent off for two minutes, and that two players were sent off for five minutes for fighting. There were several powerplay situations.
The game was exciting (it is very fast but disappointing due to the final result.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-Star Game 1/25/09 on youtube. In the first half at 13:34 the East All-Stars made a very energetic goal. They faked a pass and tricked the goalie and made the shot. I saw that the East All-Stars had a really well coordinated offense and had great teamwork. However, the West All-Stars had a good goalie but a bad defense. The more goals the East All-Stars made, the more intimidating they were for their opposition. The players used good dribbling skill and had a good defensive stance when the opposite teams tried getting the ball. The game was exciting to watch because both teams had so much energy.

I watched the 2009 NHL All-star game on YouTube. I noticed that hockey is a very fast paced sport and can get very aggressive. Players were constantly moving and had to combine passes to be effective and score. The goalies were alert and must reacted quickly to shots being taken. All of the players had exceptional skills and moved with such speed and control on the rink. I also watched some other videos on YouTube such as checks and fights in hockey which was very entertaining.

I watched the 2010 winter classic. It is an amazing game because every year the two teams are huge rivals. This is the one game in the NHL that is played outside. In hockey, you can check a lot. The game is very physical and people get hurt a lot. Each team had a lot of skill to put on the ice, but in the end the caps won!!
