Our basketball unit has been extended due to the Main gym floor damage. Explain the importance of your teams defensive play during your league games. Choose a team (include team name) and describe how you would play that team (Match-ups and why?).

Defense is the most important skill to have in basketball. If you can play good defense, the other team will be unable to score and you can win the game.
If we were to play Dirty, we would play man to man. Sam would guard Keyan, who is good at outside shots. Sam could stay up on the ball and stop him from having the opportunity to shoot.
Diana could guard Danielle. Diana is extremely aggresive and would be able to steal the ball from her.
I could guard Trey. He is taller than I am, but with strong defense I can stop him from getting to the basket to score.
Daniel could help out and guard anyone, for he is quick and good at stealing and anticipating passes. We could pass a lot and quickly and attack the basket to beat their defense.
We actually ended up losing to Dirty! It was a good game, good job guys!

defense wins games. The cleveland caveliers have lebron james. We would play his team with help defense. Someone would gurad him but at any time where he has a chance to get a lay up or dunk, another guy would help and double him.

If your team can't play defense then the other team will just rack up the points. Omnipotant(how ever the heck you spell that: Kyle, Aaron, and Teds team) when we play that team we normal just do man cover and stay tight because they shoot alot of 3's.
It is important to play good defense because most of the time we play "winner's ball." If we don't play good defense we will never get the ball.
Can't remember any team names, but we would probably match eachother by size to prevent any mismatches.

Defensive play in basketball is key in order to have success. for example we need to mark up and get rebounds on D. When we played Dirty Gary we played a zone defense where someone was always in the middle to mark Trey and someone was always putting pressure on the outside to watch for the long shot.
A team's defense can save multiple baskets from being scored. Also a hard defense can demoralize the other team. My team's matchup would be against the Green Machine. I would mark up with Artur, Michael with Evan, and Daniel with Miles, and Andrew with Katerine. These matchups would be benefit the entire team.

Jason Choi- My team, Dirty, has a need for more people to get rebounds and to not let other players shoot or take the ball to the basket. Team dirty would go against chicos and would not let them shoot or take the rock to the hoop. We would get in their faces so much that they would just turnover the ball to us. I would choose chicos because they are a good and competitive team to play against.

IN basketball your defense is very important because without a defense you cant play offense you have to create turnovers and rebound to give your O a shot

Defence is hand-in-hand with offence when it comes to basketball. If your defence isn't good, then your offence is not going to get the ball. If your offence is not good, then you will not be able to score if your defence fails and the other team does score a point.
I play on the team 'Bus Stop.' We lost every game, so we oviously needed help on our defence and offence.

Defense wins championships. Without a good defense it is almost impossible to win. When we play anyone we use artur in clutch situations to use his intense D to get a steal for a quick point i play middle or man on their best player in the middle like a rock wall on a man shutdown. evan was also a switch around defender as long as we make a stop we were happy.

Having a good defense is critical to winning the game. Without it you will be scored on too many times. If my team was to play, for example team Michael then we would match up by size and skill of who we are guarding.

Defense is very important in basketball. our team (green machine) does not think that way though. if we were to play any team we would just play zone or sometimes actually walk with the other person. our defense is a great offense.

Defense is needed through out most of the game; the amount of time during which you have posession of the ball is not alot. if your defense is good the better chance for you to get more time with the ball.

Defense is probably one of the most important aspects of the game and probably the reason why our team never won. We were not working as a team to stop the opposing team from scoring baskets and that's why we failed miserably every time.

Sometimes against teams (I can't remember wich ones) I would have somebody stand within 3 feedt of the basket if the team we were playing didn't have an outside shot.

Our team's defensive play was important during the league games, since without it, there would be no way for us to have a chance to win since the other team would always score the points.
I don't really remember the names of the people and team, but our defensive play was usually the same, we were always supposed to do 1-1 defense and I would always be on defense and guarding someone, but it seems that there was always someone left unguarded or something.

Defensive is important. It's because defense is like our life.
I think my team armypotae(?) has good defensive line. I was playing defensive line but I didn't good at that part. However, my team people are good at defense and attack. Next time, if I can play the basketball, I'm going to take attack part. I think I can't play in defensive line.
My team dirty needs to work on our defense skills. A strong defense is crucial in keeping a team on top and making sure the other team doesnt score. If my team was playing dirty I would defent katharine. She and i are at about the same strenghth level in basketball and same height.

Defense is important in any sport. If you dont have a solid defense then the other team will score on you. Defense strategies depends on the type of team. For example if we were playing a team will a tall player then, we can double team him. We could also mark by skills or by just height.

If we played chicos, Miles would guard Sam, and I would take one of the other players. If we are able to control the amount of points they get, me and Miles can create lots of shots and eventually I think that we would beat them.
