Period 3 -Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, May 4th In class we have been working on setting screens and discussing reading the defense in our 3 on 3 unit.  Please watch the video below and answer the following questions.  Each question is worth 2 points.  Please make sure to write your name on your Blog.






1.  When you set a screen, do you set the screen on a person or an area?

2.  What are 3 things the offensive player can do when they are being screened?

3.  When should you curl off of a screen?

4.  What is the most important thing to do when coming off a screen?

5.  How frequently is your team using screens during your game play? Have they been effective for your team?

5. Eric and I run pick and roll and pick and pop all the time it's the best way for us to have mismatches.

5. We use screens a lot on our team, and they have been very effective in making open lanes to the rim or for jump shots.

1. We screen an Area.
2. He can either cut Backdoor, Curl Jump shot or Hard Lay-up or Bump
3. You should curl of the screen when the defender follows you
4. You should either dropstep and take a jump shot or as a screen-er, post up and make a board shot.
5. We have been using a lot of screens to benefit our team. Our shooting guard(Drew), gets free every time because we screen an area for him to block his defender. Hence he gets open shots and we come out on top.

•very often, they have been extremely effective
