Period 2 -Team Games

Due Date: Wednesday, April 20th
 Please watch the video clip below about football positions and offensive strategies. Please answer the following questions after viewing the video clip. Make sure to put your name on your assignment.

3. What are 2 advantages of running a pro set or split back offense?

4. After watching the video clip and grasping a better understanding of positions, please list your team members and name the position that you think they are most successful at. Please don't forget to include yourself.

1) The Tight End is a mix of offensive line and wide receiver, the tight end will block, or catch passes.
2) Running Back or Wide Receiver
3) You can easily pass or run the ball and it is hard for the defense to figure out which one is coming.
4) QB: Justin Fishman, WR: Greg Urovsky and I, HB: Danny Rothenberg, OL: Ethan Reff and Noah Siman

1. They protect the QB and stays on line to block the defensive end
2.wide receiver and corner back
3. A pro set surprises the defensive line of what play will be made by the offense. Also, it allows both teams to have an equal amount of time to run and pass the ball effectively.

1. Tight ends can act as tackles or receivers.

2. The fastest members of the team are running backs and receivers.

3. Pro set allows for the option of passing or running the ball. It also allows for a short pass and the other team does not know for sure what type of play it is.

1) play on either sides and next to the guards they usually are a blocker or a pass receiver. They are like a hybrid players that can do almost anything.

2)Running Backs and wide receivers.

3)pro set advantages: they can easily pass or run with the football and the other team would not be sure what play they are doing

split back ? I formations are used for running plays but the other team can easily tell what they are doing.

1.The tight end is often seen as a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver.
2.The fastest member would either play running back or wide receiver
3.Teams will use smaller players here to execute the passing game with better receivers, get small and fast players in space, and to get the "spread out" effect on the defense that creates room to run the ball.

1.Tight ends either receive passes or block

2.the fastest members on each team would play wide receiver or running back

3. 2 advantages of playing the pro set/split back formation is that the team may run the ball or the qb can choose to pass the ball, all without the opposing team recognizing the play

4. I play on Team 6 - Me as QB, Rita as Center, Matt as RB, Dylan as WR, and Alan as WR

3. One advantage is that they can pass the football, the other advantage is that they can also hand off.

4.I (Timothy JIang)would be a running back, because I am fast. Alex would be a tightend, because he is good at protecting players. Will and Evan would be the wide receivers, because they are good at catching. Holly would be the other running back, because she is also fast.

- Running backs run all the way to the back for an open pass and wide receivers spread out to catch the ball
