Period 2 - Basketball

Due Date: Wednesday, December 3rdIn class we have been working on setting screens and discussing reading the defense in our 3 on 3 unit. Please watch the video below and answer the following questions. Each question is worth 2 points. Please make sure to write your name on your Blog.


1. When you set a screen, do you set the screen on a person or an area?

2. What are 3 things the offensive player can do when they are being screened?

3. When should you curl off of a screen?

4. What is the most important thing to do when coming off a screen?

5. How frequently is your team using screens during your game play? Have they been effective for your team?

5.I often use them to open up three pointers when my teammate is followed by a defender. It gives my teammate time to shoot a three.

4. Our team does not use screens often, and it is not very successful if we do choose to screen.

1. You set a screen on an area so that the screen will be in the place everytime. Also it prevents the player from getting an offensive foul and turning the ball over.

2. The player can go back door. The player can curl or bump.

3. You should curl off a screen only when the defender follows you.

4. To always read the defender.

5. Injured. When I'm playing 3V3 with anyone I want to we use screens not to often. They made things better a bit.

5. we use screens 3 to 5 times a game when we find hat we cant get open.

4. Get open and call for a pass.

5. We don't normally set screens but when we do , they work.

4. Call fro ball, read the defense, attack the basket.

5. We use screens sometimes, not as often as we should. They are pretty effective.
