We can apply our knowledge of invasion games by continuing to keep between the player and the basket. We can also continue to challenge for possession and press so as to gain control of the ball

always stay in between the man you are guarding and the basket, also always have your hands up

1) You could use a certian type of defence to defend the basket like Man-To-Man defence or Zone defence.

In basketball I could apply this approach by covering a man while on defense. Another thing I could do is always standing between the man I'm covering and the basket to make sure they don't have an open shot.

First, it is important to always guard a player on the opposing team.It is also important to ensure that I am always between the basket and my defender, allowing me to keep track of the ball and pressure them when they take a shot.

we learned how to defend the goal in our previous units and i can apply it by making up different strategies to defend the hoop with my team. or defending a player. Each game has a different purpose but they are all simillar to scoring on the other persons goal so i have previous knowledge on ways to use it in basketball. the way i can apply this approach is by using my previous knowledge and strategies i have used in the past to succeed on defense

it is better for a defender to be between the ball and the basket while defending. if the shot comes off the ring, you have a better chance to get the rebound. also you can prevent the offense from taking long range shots or lay ups.

During the invasion games unit we learned two main strategies to defending the goal or in basketballs case the basket. These strategies can transfer over to basketball and be applied to successfully defend the basket. First we learned man to man defense. which is where each person defends one person, this could work in basketball because if every man is guarded then no one has an open look at the basket. We also learned zone defense. This is where each person guards a zone, and this could work in basket ball for three on three if one person defends left ,one right, and one center every area is covered.

In basketball, you defend the goal by playing defense, attempting to shoot and steal the ball so they don't get it in the hoop.

One way you could apply this approach to our basketball unit is in basketball it is important to score but a team with good defense always wins the game. Also, playing good defense, helping out, rebounding and blocking the shots would be good defensive approach toward the basketball unit.

Do not allow other team between you and the goal. Always keep the goal to your back.

The importance of defending the goal, as discussed in the invasion games unit, applies to the basketball unit as well. The goal can be defended by guarding man-to-man and ensuring that I am in-between the person I am guarding and the basket.

You should always stay in between the guy you are guarding and the basket. Another way to defend the basket is to cover for a teammate if their guy gets past them.

Some ways we could apply this approach to the basketball unit is to always rebound to ball so someone needs to be close to the basket. Also, have your hands up when someone shoots and stay between your man and the basket.

In basketball you must try to stop the opponent from putting the ball in the basket. You can do this by staying between your man and the basket and trying to not allow them to receive a pass. You should also keep your hands up to block shots.

Their are several ways to defend the basket. First you can try to steal the ball from the player you are guarding before they have a chance to shoot. Second you can make sure you slide your feet and keep your hands so the player cannot take a good shot. One last way is you could watch the players waist to tell which way they are going to put and when they pick up the ball you can put your hands up.

Defending the goal is very important in the basketball unit, especially since it is an invasion game. A way to defend the goal may be to guard man-to-man. Also, when guarding a person, you have to be between the goal and the ball/person with the ball.

We can apply this by always staying with your man and defending the basket with hustle.

We could apply this approach by staying between our man and the basket, just as you try to do in soccer. One could also try to keep the other team farther away from the basket, like we did in football.

We can use what we learned in the invasion unit to help us make new strategies for basketball. One thing we can do is defend the net as if it was our goal.

Always stay between the person who has the ball and the basket. Use your feet and try to steal the ball or block the person from shooting.

In this unit it is important that everyone has their "man" and is covering someone. They must try their hardest to steal the ball and to make it harder for them to pass and shoot. It is also necessary for a person to be near the basket to block shots and to get rebounds.

Guard man-to-man or zones, and either stay in between the ball and your man, or in between the person with the ball and the basket

You could first not let the opponent have the ball by passing with your teamates.

If an opponent will shoot keep your hand over him if they seem like taking a shot also block passes. try to intercept without foul or reach in

Look at the ball and its holder to watch for possible moves.... shot....pass....fake-out/sidestep...dont let them do these.

one way you could defend the goal is to stay between the basket and the person you are guarding. Also, you could attempted to block there shot, stay with them with your hands up blocking there vision, or trying to steal the ball from them

I kinda forgot to do this, its probably late, but anyway like in other games we need people on other people to defend the ball kind of like man to man to prevent a basket into the hoop, to always make sure you have a good defense

Stay between the other team players and the basket so they can't score... turns out that makes it harder i guess o.O who would have thought
