The teams have been selected! Please take a moment and look at your teams!
Team positions. A basketball team has five players that play five different postions.
1. A "1" is the point guard. This person is the best dribbler and passer. This person brings the ball down the court and has the best chance of maintaining possesion of the ball if pressure is put on.
2. A "2" is the shooting guard. This person has the best shot on the team. You want this person to shoot the ball for you the most.
3. A "3" is the small forward. This person is a pretty good at shooting and rebounding. They will cut through the lane and be a threat.
4. A "4" is the power forward. This person is a great rebounder and will spend most of the time with their back to the basket, or playing in the post. They will take close shots and look to rebound every ball
5. A "5" is the center. This person is usually the tallest person on the team and specializes in shot blocking and rebounding. On offense, they are like the power forward and play close to the basket.
Please look at your team and assign the players on your team a role or position as described. Put the number next to their name from 1-5 and put yourself last with whichever number you think you will fit into and why.

1. D.J. - he is a good passer and he moves the offense well and occassionally pops the three, he's like Mike Bibby
2. Keeya- he is a good shooter, he's like Eddie House
4. Arshum - he is a good rebounder and can finish inside and does a lot of the dirty work, he's like mike miller and Joel Anthony combined
5. Tiffany - she's a good rebounder. she's like Big Z

Brad - 2 - he has a great shot. (he also has good ball handling skills but he is not 1 because he is a selfish player)

Max - 1 - he can dribble well and is generous with the ball
Andrew - 3 - he can shoot well also
Raul - 4 - he has a higher shot percentage close and can get rebounds
Sam(me)- 5 - i am tall enough and can get rebounds.

I think I would be best as the power forward because I am usually always positioning myself for the rebound and when I get the ball, I am not the best long distance shooter so i try to make shots from the foul line and below.

I think im more of a small forward becasue im more of a well rounded player rather than haveing one good skill for the game

1. spitz- great ball handler, unselfish player and knows how to make good passes in certain situations, he is our floor general and brings the ball up the floor
ReplyDelete2 Me(brad) and raul- i am selfish and take most of the shots but i am also known as a good shooter so the two spot is a position that fits me. raul has the same qualities as me
3 Drew- has the ability to shoot the ball from the outside and is also a great slasher and has the athletic ability to throw the alley-oop too.
4.andrew- dwight howard in protecting the house with his shot blocking ability and is a solid rebounder as well
5. sam- our second tallest player besides me is strong and athletic and is a fierce rebounder and fights for great post position on the block so we can feed him the ball and he can go to work.

Naol (myslef)- 4: I hit the boards and try to start the transition play. I lift things up and put them down.

Boaz-2: great shooter, can hit the three on demand
D.J.-1: brings the ball up and is a good passer and dribbler.
Keeya-3: drives in for the close range basket.
Arshum-5: rebounds the ball very well and finishes close to the basket.
Tiffany-4: back to the basket and goes for the close range basket.
