Period 6 Advanced Basketball

Due Date : Monday, October 26th

We are currently in our 2 on 2 unit. At the beginning of this unit we spent several days working on post moves and focusing on a post-wing game. Based on what you have learned, how is your team's post game during game play? Do you think this is affecting your win/loss record? Why?

  1. The post game during game play is really working. This helps us win because EJ has been able to post up on everyone so far and it intimidates his defender.

  2. Basically this will help, but because of lack of practice, so that can't really work well for now, we still prefer to basic moves and screen to strive for a win, and i'm sure that what we are practicing will keep getting better.

  3. I think our post game is pretty good. Being an experienced post player I am able to use the moves we were taught in class to my advantage. Since we are playing well in the post our record is good (4-1). Like if we need critical points we always resort to the post since it's a more hig percentage shot.

  4. I think our post game needs work because everyone tends to take outside shorts instead of taking it inside. I think not playing big on the post has a negative affect on the record.

  5. since i am by far the best player in the post i feel like it is working for us, because not one person in the class can stop me in the post, and if they magically do then i just kick it out to danny for either a 1 or 2. my 3 point shot is amzing as well so im just good all around

  7. Me and fred havnt done any post work because we are perimeter players. Maybe thats the reason we are inconsistant,(4-4)because we rely too much on our outside shooting. When it's working though we can not be stopped. Also we have yet to encounter an opposing player that we could not defend in the post, so that is not an issue.

  8. My squads post game is not good becasue me and my teammate are not big and can not effectively use the post moves. but my team is a beast anyway.

  9. the post game does help us somewhat because me and willis are playing post and we switch it up. I am able to use what we were taught in class and the moves have helped us in the games. I think both of us playing in the post helps our game.

our team has great post presence but we use our all around game to our advantage until we need it ....

  11. the post game for our team does not work because neither my nor Kyle have the appropriate size to effectively play that posistion. It also hurts us on our defense because opposing players just muscle us around. It has negatively impacted our win-loss record.

  12. our teams post game i s absolutley awful. we cannot rebound, score inside or block shots, or run any 2 man ofesives plays. the reason we are under .500 is because of our lack of post game

i k=like playing in the post cause no body can get by so they are foced to shoot outside shots but all is well

  14. The post game during game play has helped Dani and I. This helps us win games because Dani has good post moves and can finish with her amazing jump shot. As for me, the post is my home that is why they call me kobe.

  16. The post game does not work well for me and my team mate because me are very small and have a lot of trouble establishing position in the post. Size is a critical component to the post game. As a result, we have lost many games to bigger teams who can play the post very well.

  18. If i remember correctly the second blog is the strongside jab move and weakside jab move. These effectively let me get by my defender and consistantly work.... I Need this blog for my A....

  19. Our team doesnt really have an offensive post game, Pat and I are both mid range shooters. But we do get alot of offensive and defensive rebounds. I dont think our lack of post game productivity affects us in a negative way because we are undefeated.
