The teams have been selected! Please take a moment and look at your teams!
Team positions. A basketball team has five players that play five different postions.
1. A "1" is the point guard. This person is the best dribbler and passer. This person brings the ball down the court and has the best chance of maintaining possesion of the ball if pressure is put on.
2. A "2" is the shooting guard. This person has the best shot on the team. You want this person to shoot the ball for you the most.
3. A "3" is the small forward. This person is a pretty good at shooting and rebounding. They will cut through the lane and be a threat.
4. A "4" is the power forward. This person is a great rebounder and will spend most of the time with their back to the basket, or playing in the post. They will take close shots and look to rebound every ball
5. A "5" is the center. This person is usually the tallest person on the team and specializes in shot blocking and rebounding. On offense, they are like the power forward and play close to the basket.
Please look at your team and assign the players on your team a role or position as described. Put the number next to their name from 1-5 and put yourself last with whichever number you think you will fit into and why.

ReplyDeleteLIAM is a 1-2 guard since he is the best dribbler and best attacker to rim
THOMAS is a 4 since he knows how to rebound, block, and shoot despite his short height; he has great aggressiveness
ANDRES is a Small Forward (3) since he has great athleticism knowing how to cut,shoot, etc.
DERRIK is a solid 2 guard since he has the best shot on our team.
KRYS is a center(5) since he always stays by the rim and rebounds many of our shots despite his height compared to others.
JEFF is a 2-3 Guard/Forward, taking decent shots as well as rebounding sometimes.
I am a 2-1 (shooting) Guard since I have good speed and I can decently handle the ball on the court. One Man Fast Breaks!!!

4-Aaron (Myself) because i don't have a great shot so i can only make it in near the basket. I'm not tall enough to beat all the other centers so i grab rebounds that fall a little bit further and put them back up.
point guard- Jerry b/c he is the best ball handler on the team

small forward-Michael b/c he is the best shooter when open and can hit shoots when we swing it to him
power forward-me b/c i come up with rebounds often and im better in the post then the perimeter
center-Alex b/c his main specialty and can put things back up.

Me(Jerry)-1-2. Although I act as the point guard, I am easily the best shooter on the team, and would normally play the 2. However, during class, I play the 1.

ReplyDeleteI can play all the positions and usually point guard because I know how to set up the offense on my team.
1-Edward plays a shooting guard because he is wet as hell.
2-Patrick is a small forward because he gets boards and can shoot.
3-Sebastian/Shayna play stretch fours because she can shoot and can get boards while he can get boards.
4- Tru is the center because one im not playing center, two he is tough under the basket, and gets mad boards.
