Period 4 Basketball
Due Date: Thursday, March 11th
We are getting ready to start our 3 on 3 unit. Briefly explain 2 ways to get open or create space that we have discussed in class.
We can come off screens to get open. This will help us create space for a shot. Another way to get open is to post up. this will get you open near the basket. and will allow you to make a move at the basket VArun ganti
The easiest way to create space is to let your teammate set up a screen for you.The other way to create space for both u and your teammate is to v-cut,especially on 3v3,v-cut is the most efficient move.
The two ways to get open or create space is with the jab step and then driving hard to the basket on either side, the strong or the weak. In 3 on 3, other ways to create space include setting pick and rolls and spreading the defense with outside shooters.
You can get open in basketball by using the Jab Step and running around like a crazy chicken. You can also get open by putting a big guy in front of you and running around him.
