We are currently in our 5 on 5 unit and working on defensive strategies. Based on your class experience explain which type of defense you would use to play the other 3 teams in the class. Make sure to explain why you would play each team this particular way.
i would use 3 man triangle zone because most have twon dominate players which is easier to defend then a whole team

Based on all the defensive strategies we've tried, i reccomend that my team use zone defense because we are sort of disadvantaged when it come to size. i reccomend 2 uptop, and three downlow because no one in our class is that good anyways... so we might as well try and stop the layup. Tino and jason downlow, and the other three up top.
ReplyDeleteFor the wizards i would use a triangle two because i believe if we cut of those 2 people we can contain them. For the celtics i would use man because if we pressure them well force turnovers. Finally for the lakers i would use 3 2 to make them have to shoot from beyond the arc

playing 5 on 5 i feel 2-3 defence is most effective. If played the right way the 2-3 is a hard defence to stop. Every area is mostly coverd so its hard to score.

i think that our team is best with using the zone defense. the 2-3 zone works really well because we have joe and leland in the post and it would be really hard to make a shot inside over them, so if we block out the 3pt shot and the inside drives we would be a hard team to get past.

The best defensive strategy I recomend my team use is the zone defense with 2 players in front and 3 in the back towards the net in case the other team gets through. We are pretty good at stopping but not as good as stop drivers who muscle there way through and make easy layups
ReplyDeleteI would play man defense on all teams because we match up well. Except if we are outmatched downlow i would play a 2-3 zone and make that team shoot from the outside.
ReplyDeletethe teams with a lot of speed that could take us off the dribble i would play a 2-3 zone and make them shoot the 3 against. and the slow teams i would match up man to man against.

ReplyDeletetherefore we should play 2 3 defense or 3 man triangle zone or box and one. man to man would not be a good idea, it would be a lot easier for our opponents to drive.

I would recommend 2-3 zone defense because I am more used to it and it is very effective against most types of offensive plays.

i would play zone defense because it's less tired than man defense and zone defense covers most of areas so that opponents would not score easily.

i would use the zone for the celtics because they have alot of athletic players but then i would use a 3 man triangle for the lakers because they have alot of tall players

i would use the 2-3, 3 up top and 2 down low. my lakers have 3 quicksters and two big men which is perfect if we actualyy tried. you guys are LUCKY, if we really tried we would go UNDEFEATED boiiii!!!

i would use a top two bottom three zone defense because in my opinion is the most versatile defense, it guards against outside shooters as well as inside drivers, and can be switched up based on need.
