1) points. Hmmm. According to Mr. Aronchick, it would be 25. Unless, by some circumstances, there is a score of 24-24. In that case, it would be called a deuce, where then one team would need to win 2 points in a row in order to win the match. This is the case, because the rules state that the winning team must win the winning point of the winning game by winning the winning point of the winning game by at LEAST two points. So it would go into a deuce, then advantage one team, then back to a deuce if the other team scores, then advantage, then deuce, etc, etc. And it goes on until one team wins 2 points in a row.
ReplyDelete2)First of all, while setting the ball, one must position themselves UNDER the ball. I remember a friend who didn't do it that well. He positioned himself in FRONT of the ball, and ended up jumping up to try to set the ball, but really crashed into the bleachers behind him. The other thing that one must do while setting the volleyball, is to get their hands into a triangle-ish position thingy. It is vital to do this for maximum control of the ball as you set it, so that it doesn't fly off to the side, and cause one or more of your friends to crash into bleachers.
3) Yes it is. It is so true. It gets really annoying though, when people begin arguing with the referee because they think that this is false. It sorta gets on my nerves that they even argue with the umpire on an issue. They could get expelled from a game like that.
4) Ummmmmmm... Well, I do know that if you touch the net, go under the net, smash into the net, bounce into the net, hit the net, poke the net, etc. etc. then that's illegal, but if the ball hits the net and still goes over, It would still be in play, although another thing that sorta gets on my nerves would be people who stand back and watch as the ball, which is still in play falls right in front of them, and they don't even know that it still is in play. urgh.
5) Depends what you refer as the end line. If that's the edge of the court, then yes, they may move around BEHIND the end line. They may also serve overhand, or underhand. Another thing that gets on my nerves are people who write really long blog comments. (HAHA NOT) So that pretty much sums it up. You can.
And that is my terribly long blog comment. Who really expected me to write that much? I certainly did. I have made it my goal to overexhert myself when decisively deciding what to write in this blog. Till next blog. =3

ReplyDelete2. When you set the ball, your arms should be bent at the elbows, and your fingers should come together in such a way that they form a triangle. you should hold your arms in such a position that you can see the ball through that triangle when you set the ball.
