For this season of football, you need to put yourself in the proper position/role on the team. Below is a description of the positions on offense and defense. Please review the characteristics of each position and answer the 3 questions at the end.
Offense
Quarterback -
This person has the ability to throw the ball accurately and occasionally for distance. They are quick to make decision and enjoy being involved every play.
Running Back -
This person is quick and able to see the Field well. They are able to make cuts and get yardage with their feet while occasionally catching the ball.
Center -
This person must be consistent with being able to snap the ball accurately and enjoys being involved with every play. Also, they must not shy away from contact; on blitz plays they are the first barrier between the quarterback and the defensive lineman.
Tight End -
This person is able to block when needed and is able to catch short passes. They do not have to be quick, however, they are integral on gaining short yardage.
Wide Receiver -
This person is quick and usually goes for deep pass patterns. They need to be quick with good hands thereby spreading the defense out.
Defense-
Defensive Lineman -
This person lines up across from the Center or Tight Ends and rushes or blitzes the quarterback. In cover 1 they are able to cover the Center or Quarterback and must match their speed.
Linebackers -
These people are lined up and watching for the short or screen pass. They are able to read the quarterback and decide where to make the play.
Defensive Backs -
These are the quickest people on the team. They are able to get to the ball quickly and defend the wide receivers (who are the quickest people on the other team).

Because i can throw the football well, far, and if needed run when blitzed. On defense i would be a Defensive Lineman because i am fast and would be able to reach the opposing quarterback before he could throw the ball.
My team is the Red team. Naturally, our t-shirt color is red.

ReplyDelete1) I would probably be best at the center for offense, and linebackers for defense. Center would be my best category for offensive because I can snap the ball nicely and catch the ball when needed. Linebackers would be my best category for defense because I am very good at telling where people are going to throw things, even if they don't make direct contact using eyes or body language.
2)We don't have a team name because we haven't really decided on one. Noone really cares that much about team names though. We just know who's on who's team.
3) White
i see myself as being a tight end because i can catch the ball from short distances or intercept the ball when it is coming at my adversary. on defense, i see myself playing as a linebacker because i am not too good at football but i can spontaneously help and get the ball when i am thrown it :)

When I was playing (before I hurt my knee) I was a center, and on defense I was a defensive lineman. I was on the white team and my team color was white.
