    1 Never throw the bat
2 If someone catches the fly ball a runner has to tag up before going to the next base
3 The play is over when the pitcher is on the mound and has the ball

    1. When a ball is caught before hitting the ground after a player hits it, the player on base must tag up before advancing a base.

    2. Any ball going outside the 1st or 3rd base line is a foul ball. Runners cannot advance when a foul ball is hit.

    3. Runners may overrun 1st base only, all other bases the runner may be tagged and called out if they are off the base.

Three rules that I learned about high school softball are:
    1) There is no stealing bases
    2) You cannot throw the ball at someone to get them out
    3) There must be underhanded pitching.

In our high school, there are many softball rules, of some of which are: in order to get the batter out you must either strike him out, tag him, or tag the base.
Another rule is when pitching, it must be pitched underhanded. Last rule is when a runner leaves a base he or she must continue on to the other base, and must tag up, stating that they cant stay on the same base since only one person can stay on a base at a time.

1.There are 9 players on a softball team.
2.The playing field is divided into the infield and outfield
3.The lines between the bases are 60’ apart and when joined they form a “diamond”, inside the baseline is known as the infield

When pitching the pitcher must have both feet on the pitcher’s mound and can only take one step forward while pitching and the ball must be thrown underhand. There are also 7 innings in a game. Lastly A runner is out if they are tagged with the ball before reaching a base or if they run more than 3 feet out of the base line to avoid being tagged

Runners can only run past 1st base, and if any other bases are overrun, the batter can be tagged for an out.

The ball must be pitched underhand, not overhand.

If a fly out is made, a runner must tag up, or touch the base that they were previously occupying, before going to the next base.
